Costco.ca: Up to 200 4" x 6" Prints For 10 Cents Each (Members Only)

Have digital photos sitting around on your camera, memory cards or your hard drive(s)? Well, if you want to get things cleaned up before the big influx of photos during the holiday season, Costco.ca has a nice 10 cent/print offer that should help.

Use promotion code CWAM1A27 at the Costco.ca Photo Centre to qualify for $0.10 4" x 6" prints. You can print up to 200 photos at this price point. This offer can only be used once per account and is valid until November 9, 2008. It cannot be combined with other offers or promotions. Unused credit will not carry over to future orders. Note that you do need to be a Costco member to take advantage of this offer.

    • I had about 400 prints done on the last $0.12 deal and I was really disappointed with the quality. They were all dark and the colours were all muddy - never going back to costco for prints again - even Loblaws is much better (with pricey Black's presumably being the best?)

      really, i was about to send them about 800+ photos that haven't been printed for years.

      ask for a refund and ask them why this has happened. They may be able to correct it. Nevertheless, you can still get all your money back.

      That is surprising. I have used them for years and have very few issues with them and I am an extremely picky user. Costco has their machines profiled twice a year and I know that many professionals use them for proofing their weddings and some even use them for pro prints.

      If you are processing yourself at home, one possibility is not submitting in SRGB format. Adobe RGB has a wider gamut and will print out muddy. Not an issue if you are shooting JPG but a possibility if you are shooting RAW.

    • I've been very happy with my Costco prints, especially enlargements. I've got up to the largest size they offer, and been very pleased. I think it all depends on the store where you choose to get them printed.

      I've had over 300 prints done in the last year, and been unhappy with 1-2 4X6 prints total (brightened too much).

      Is more expensive, for 100 prints shipping will be $5.99, so the cost will be $.06+.06 =$0.12 each and in $US.

      For me locally, the best is Blacks, Walmart, and the Loblaws. I will have to try Costco as they just opened in town.

      You're limited up to 200, so the next 500 will be charged as regular. You can't use the coupon more than once either since it's one membership # per coupon only.

      I used the coupon 3 times now instore. You just got to put separate orders in of 200. The lady at the counter didn't really care. They just have a special barcode to scan for 10cents, and for anything over 200 they use the regular barcode (17cents here).

      My Costco was crazy busy, lineups to use the machines, lineups to pay and lineups to pickup. I don't know if this is just because of the 10cents or if it's always that busy.

      As for the quality issues, fantastic.

      People with problems could have cameras that arent that good, or the people printing the pictures dont do the manual adjustments well...

    • Pre-crop all pictures to 6x4 and pray that the op will not screw up on white balance and brightness. Costco is pretty good in this regard, avoid Photolab.ca

      Thanks. I remember reading somewhere that you can use the profile of the processor that the Costco store uses and have photoshop apply it to you pics before you process... but for the life of me, i can't find that link...

      This is from the FAQ on the Costco site:

      Can I get my order delivered to my house?

      Unfortunately we currently only offer in-store pickup as an option      .


      Maybe you could contact them to see if there are exceptions?

    • Online can be used once per e-mail account. I have 2 e-mail accounts for 1 membership - myself and my wife's spouse card. We were able to use it 2 times on line. You can use it unlimited in person. It's part of the weekly printed coupons in store. You will need to submit separate orders of 200. You may also have to do it at different times depending on the clerk.
