Right now at Costco.ca, you can get a $10 Costco Cash Card when you sign up for a new Costco Gold Star membership ($55 before taxes, shipping included). You can get an extra membership card (free of charge) for your spouse or a family member (age 18+) living at the same address. To get your $10 Cash Card, add the Costco Gold Star membership to your cart (you'll have to log in to the website first) and enter promo code GSWEB79 on the payment stage during checkout.

- The code works on the Payment screen but once under Review screen there is no mention of the cash card as part of the order so I'm curios if costco indeed honors this code?

- I applied the promo code back in November and still haven't received the gift card...store said they'll mail it and when I called they said the same thing.

  I went there the other day, and I noticed that for most vegetables, fruits, dairy, meats...the prices are not really any cheaper than a discount grocery store like No Frills or Food Basics in Ontario.

  Why would you want to pay $55 for a membership to somewhere you haven't even gone to for a year when you didn't even go for free with your gift card? Doesn't sound like you will buy enough stuff to recover the membership costs.
