    • Thanks OP, went for it. If there are any better deals soon (i.e. Dell.ca) then they can easily be returned to Costco, which I go to practically every week. Funny, I "ran" out of AA eneloops this week, plus impending Christmas gifts with 4 kids, gonna need'em...

      Good luck everyone!

pro power pack has higher capacity and they drain slower when unused...but only comes in 8AA and 2AAA

not sure about the charger, didn't check...

    • The IKEA laddies look terrible but once you FEEL them you can tell they are quality.

The Pro version is with the Eneloop Pro ( black=upper class) batteries 8AA+2AAA vs 10AA+4AAA of regular (white) Eneloops for the non-Pro version kit.

Are the Pro ones also the batteries that are rated for 500 cycles instead of the standard 2000 cycles?

They're Eneloop Pros in white Ikea wrappers made in Japan.

Is this not a better deal, if you can wait (and if you don't mind generic)

      https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-AA-P ... +batteries
yes I would think so? i'm so confused with the different labels of eneloops and rebranded eneloops. But I think these are amazon's version of eneloops? and Their 500 cycle ones are the Pro versions.

Correct. Get regular eneloops for everyday usage. Only need pro for high drain camera flash, or high drain flashlight etc. Or if you can't charge battery for long time and need it to last longer (wedding pictures with camera maybe, though could just bring extra 2xAA)
Regular cheaper and can theoretically get more charges. Not sure if they upgraded pro version to all the regular version updates (more temps, hold charge longer).

      I got lots of both.
