Made in China, but cannot comment how good they are. The Monroes were made in USA/Canada (cannot remember), then last year when I looked there switch manufacturing to China, but same price Do not like grooved rotors for street use (eats pads).

    • The DeWalt 20V at 250$ looked like a good deal, until I found older threads from RFD about the kit selling for less than 200$ @ HD.

    • I have the Cosco step stool and it is surprisingly high quality. I like how it folds to become quite narrow so it is easy to store. Very useful, and pretty hot at 11.99 if you happen to need gas.

Great for the car. I spray alot of my rubber seals and other stuff under the car whenever i change my seasonal tires over. Extends the life out of the rubber.
      Good price!

    • You know who/which rotors are still made in North America today?
Most has moved overseas except for some higher end ones like StopTech, AP Racing, etc, but these are for high performance vehicles like Vipers and such and are just overkill for regular passenger cars. I was surprised (and was the parts guy) to see some mid-grade Brembo rotors I bought for a Sunfire were still made in the USA and they were about $35 a piece.

What I did was call a few places and asked for the mid priced one (cheap ones are just crap and would not put them on any car) and asked if they had them in stock and to see where they are manufactured. All the places a called (dealer and a few independent parts dealer) had no problem checking for me.

For the Sunfire, dealer had 3 ranges from $45-150 (cannot remember exactly), but all were made in China. Independent dealers carried 2-3 different ones and ranged from $20-$90. Got to point that all were made overseas and just went with mid-grade ones that were made by a known company at a good price. Found one that carried Brembo ($35 and $80) and just bought them thinking made in china until they brought them to the desk and were USA made as mentioned in the first sentence.

There is a company in the US that makes ones (in the USA) that they give some type of lifetime warranty (on warping or some like that), but they are made of steel and not cast iron. Steel is not as good as cast iron as cast iron is a better heat sink and more dimensionally stable at higher temperatures.

    • What's the problem with overseas-made auto parts? Volvo branded brake pads from the dealer are made in India.

Is it QC-only? I haven't had a chance to take a look at the offer details yet.

      It's one of those 10-100% in CT$.

    • Some good automotive stuff this week! Simoniz 3-pack wash mitts for $10 is good. Mitts remove grime much better than a sponge. Tempted to pick up a jack + stands and that garage stool. Any comments on the jack + stands and garage stool? Also, those Rain X Horizon blades any good? And if so, decent price?
