    • Bought the rice cooker last night. Hopefully, 3 cups of rice is good enough for 2 adults.

1 meal at a time :p so should be enough unless you are a heavy eater then I don't think so.

I got an older 10-cup model just before discontinuing lol for a little more that's working great.

I only put in 1/2 - 2/3 of the max, and that's still good for 3 or 4 servings. Even if you use bigger servings than I do, getting 2 servings shouldn't be a problem.

Also, the "3 cups" is 3 "cups" of dry rice. Their "cups" are 180ml, not 250ml.

    • I was thinking to get a rice cooker but I got the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 instead , made some rice last night ant turned really good.
the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 will also make stew , congee, and a work as a pressure cooker.

IMHO is a better value than a standalone rice cooker

Onnly thing the zojirushi won't do s the pressure cooking (least these models) it'll do the rest but for stewing there's not real predefined option. I think I just used the cake option or something in a pinch. Pressure pots make great rice though if you get the right ones :p (or know how to use it)

On the Instant Pot , I just added rice 2 cups , 3 cups of water and pressed Rice function. After roughly 20 minutes including the pressurizing time I was eating perfect rice , restaurant style.
Only thing , not a bad thing tough , The Instant Pot inner pot is Stainless steel so rice stuck a little but after soaking it went off easily.

    • How cheap has the breadmaker gone on sale for before? From what I found it dropped to $177 in the states at one point.
I love fresh bread... very tempted to get one.

    • Okay, I know these are optimized for long grain rice but happens with basmati, jasmine, arborio or sushi rice?? Do these cook well too? I suppose wild rice won't cook in these.

Made in China off course but not everything made there is low quality.
Actually I was surprised how nice it it compared with my Japan made Panasonic rice cooker.
Based on what I read and after useing it it looks 100% safe to use everyday , lots of safety features.
