Starbucks Find the Roast You Love Most: Free Coffee Tasting + Sample To Brew at Home (Feb 9-11)

This week, Starbucks announced their new Blonde Roast coffee. as part of the launch, they will be hosting A "Find the Roast You Love Most" event next month. From February 9-11, you can head in to your local Starbucks store to sample a range of coffee roasts and pick your favourite! The US event started today, and it looks like they will have small sample cups available at the counter where you can taste the following roasts:

Starbucks Blonde Roast
Veranda Blend
Pike Place Roast
Fair Trade Certified Italian Roast

After testing the various coffees, you can vote on your favourite. You'll then receive a free sample of the Blonde Roast to brew at home! This freebie is running from February 9-11 at participating Starbucks locations.

  I don't think you need a coupon or anythign to get the freebie - you just show up to a Starbucks location between Feb 9th and 11th.

- Just got back from Starbucks in Port Moody, didn't sample the coffee or vote because I was in a hurry, but they gave me the free blonde sample anyway. Makes 8-10 cups, good thing...forgot to buy more coffee beans today, now I have a free pot of coffee for tomorrow morning!

- went to a Starbucks in Calgary the other day and they offered me a free sample packet of the new roast- nice little surprise.

- Man...it really Starsucks here in GTA...I went to one in Thornhill and I had to pay for my Blonde. They did a fresh drip brew for me though, which was good.
  
  But last night, the Starbucks in Richmond Hill Indigo would not brew it for me, saying that the event is not until February 9th, they are only SELLING the beans. When I told them I had it brewed at another location, they smirked and said "That location does what it wants."
  
  The thing is....who would buy the beans without trying it out first?

  Complain to SB head office? Did that on other issues in the past...they don't respond to complaints. Send in a praise letter and they will answer.
  
  That said, in general SBux has good in-store customer service. You don't like your drink for whatever reason and they will make you a new one. The worst time I had is a stare-down from the barista, but they still gave me a new drink.

  used to be able to call and complaint about a drink and via email they will communicate with you can credit you the drink, now they ask you to call and speak to a rep and will get all the details of what drink, where (which store purchased from) and send that info to the store, and credit your drink...

- Went there after work, and the cashier said the promo is only in the morning. I don't see that written anywhere, and I'm sure the bags they had on the counter were those sample packs. She did give me the 3-flavour sampler, which, if you drink all three, is actually quite a sizable cup of free coffee. Blonde roast is not bad black. Was afraid it'd be too weak, but it's good. Time to rinse and repeat tomorrow morning!!!

- Went to 2 Ottawa locations yestarday and today in the morning, both places indicated that sampling was in the p.m. My email from Starbucks never indicated that. It makes one look stupid going there, but got a Grande bold yesterday and a miniature sample of blonde this a.m.
