this offer is expired

Loblaws rolled out a new rewards program called PC Plus back in May and right now they've got a pretty great bonus offer! For every $80 you spend in a single transaction through August 1, 2013 you'll get a bonus 20,000 points. The redemption value of 20,000 points is $20!

To take part in this offer, you'll have to be a PC Plus member, obviously (sign up for free here) and then manually load the offer onto your card. This offer is valid in Ontario Loblaws locations only and PC Points cannot be earned on tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions, gift cards, phone cards, lottery tickets or third-party operations (like gas bars or dry cleaners). You'll get 20,000 points per $80 spent in a single transaction, meaning that two $40 transactions will not count, but a single $160 transaction will garner 40,000 points.

All points will be credited to your account by August 9.

Use the mobile app or you can do it online by signing into your account. Loading the offer prior to purchasing is required to get the deal.

      For now, just Loblaws.

If you have PC points at $20 right now, the deal can be even sweeter. Instead of $80, you can spend $60. Just make sure the cashier does the transaction in this order
      1. total order
      2. swipe card with PC Plus linked to it
      3. get PC Points for reusable shopping bags
      4. Pay with PC points
      5. Pay with PC debit or MC

Loads for my phone app in BC as well... too bad our store still doesn't use PC Plus. Totally renovated to compete against the new Target in town and has the NFC pay terminals and everything, but no PC Plus.

    • Is it a one time bonus?
For example, if I go to Loblaws tomorrow and buy $80. Then I go Sunday and buy another $80. Do I get $40 bonus point?

EDIT: Nevermind. It says for every $80+ transaction.

I'm sorry I don't understand, how is that sweeter? you are still using $20 worth of value. I guess if you had no intentions of ever using those $20, sure. But otherwise, isn't it just the same?

      If I read this correctly,
      - have balance of >20000 pts
      - spend $60
      - get 20000 pts bonus
      - redeem 40000 pts for $40
Did you actually pull this off?

Like with all the PC plus offers it goes to your used offers section. Anyone know if you return to the store later if you'd still get the bonus points again? I haven't had te opportunity to test this yet.

Spent $86 yesterday but the offer is still in the loaded section and not in the "earned" section. I wonder if it had to do with the notices that were up saying that you will not receive the bonus points until after the offer is over. The date they gave was Aug 9th.

You are probably right. It probably won't go to used until after the promotion then. This is what is confusing though because I often have one for 'every $5 spent on apples' or whatever, but it goes to used right away. Don't know if regular offers are intact one time use type things. I couldn't really find details. I may email them later if I remember (or just try it out).

On your receipt then, I assume it doesn't show you getting the 20000 points right?

    • Potentially stupid question: do you need to pay for your purchase with a PCF card, or just show the app with offer at the register?

This can be used in addition to or seperate from your PC Card. You can use just the app or get a card in store. So to answer your question, no.

This is what I really like about this card. We often pay cash for groceries so with this we can still get some points.
