- Harvey's burgers are the most artificial-tasting little meat-pucks on the market. And Harvey's is the only fast-food chain stupid enough to purposely cut their fries on the short (across the potato, instead of lengthwise -- which is exactly what most consumers DON'T want.)

  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but with tax, for one combo, I'm pretty sure it will be at least $7 and change. 2 for $10 is essentially what the regular price should be, considering what it is.

  You'll be hard-pressed to find much in the way of burger combos (assuming a basic burger, medium fries, and medium soda) anywhere at a regular price of five bucks any more. Most of the "pop" chains seem to be running around $7 for that on the regular menu. Burger King offers a $5 combo every day at that price but the sandwich selection is limited to one choice and it changes with each day of the week. If you go to one of the premium burger joints like Five Guys, you're looking at $15+ for a "basic" combo.

- Thanks for the replies. I had no idea these combos had gotten so expensive. I thought maybe the Original burger combo was going for about $5.49 (so the savings for buying two would only be $1...)

  In London, at least, it's $3.99 for an Original Burger, and I'm pretty sure it's $6.29 for the combo.

- I still think Harvey's is one of the better fast food burgers out there. What I don't understand is when the thread title cleary states Harvey's in the title, why people feel the need to flame it? If you don't like it, that is totally okay, but why the need to post the negative comments and insult people who do? People have different tastes and that is okay! I don't like the music my dad listens to, but I don't make a point of telling him that it sucks whenever I hear it. If you don't like Harvey's please just ignore the thread, I just don't understand the need to be hostile?

- The last time I had a Harvey's original burger (about 2 yrs ago after not having it for a while) the meat tasted so fake. It was like synthetic. I noticed this too with Johnny's, after they changed their patties. I'm tempted to try the Great Canadian which I presume is more akin to a "home" burger with real ground beef, not this processed crap. But I dunno. If you've tried it, give me a heads up. TIA.
