In order to qualify for this offer, you can not have received a payroll bonus from ING Direct in the past. Your gift card card will be mailed to you within 30 days of your first qualifying payroll deposit. This first payroll deposit must occur by December 31, 2012.

New account holders will also be eligible to win one of 10 $5000 Apple gift cards when they open a Thrive account with a minimum balance of $100 by November 30.

- Seems like you just missed the $50 signup bonus offer. I doubt if you would lose much since I have always seen the $25 offer at minimum. Might be worth $75 extra for waiting few more weeks. Good luck!

- I'm opening an account for my wife to get the sign up bonus. I was going to open an ISA for her and then get her to open a Thrive chequing account later to get the $25 bonus. But $100 apple card may be worth the wait until September.

  Your $50 signup bonus is only for new customers, as I mentioned, I have an ISA account with them already.

  FYI to anyone applying up for a mortgage or similar joint product who is waiting for their spouse to sign up for the Thrive 50/50 bonus: you will lose the referral, because they will no longer be considered a "new" customer in ING's eyes. The website may even throw an error during their signup process, forcing a call to their customer service dept.

  I was only told its a very similar promotion to the current $100 Apple gift card deal for new customers, but it will be open to new customers as well. The amount, I have not been given.

  Well technically you could do both. Open an ISA account using the $50 referral sign up bonus...then when this deal comes, open up a Thrive account!

  Well I would update the thread if there was a new deal (as I did with the RFD Deal of the Day promo). There's a lot of questions and answers about ING that could be useful for it's customers.
  
  The main issue though is that the "deal" in question is non existent. NCIX threads are locked before they're live... Why is this any different? Why make a thread 2 weeks early based on information from a call center employee who can't tell you anything about the promo?

  You might want to wait for the official announcement before jumping off the bridge, because Scotia has said everything will be business as usual.

- The reason Scotia Bank purchased ING is to use its business plan. Don't think they are going to abandon it.
  
  BTW today is the Final day for the bonus.
  I signed up on August 28,2012 and dropped off a Cheque on August 29 and Yesterday my account had the $50.00 bonus amount in it.
  For those not close enough to ING to drop of a cheque.
  CSR at ING stated so long as you enroll by the end of the day and send a cheque for $100.00. If they receive it within a reasonable time frame they will give you the bonus amount.
  Now waiting for next month to get the Itunes $100

  They have no choice but to keep it. The day they change it is the day more than half their clients close up their accounts (including me).
  
  I think they're "smarter than you think" since they're "richer than I thought".
