Besides, I always assumed it's how they use up their hot coffee that is no longer hot.
I only order iced coffee and I've been to many locations so far since this promo started - so far so good. I've always been charged the correct $1.05.
1.05 would pretty much only be Alberta I think..

1) Pop (not ice tea) on its own = 13% tax
2) Ice tea on its own = 5% tax
3) Pop (not ice tea) with food totalling to $4 or less = 5% tax
4) Ice tea with food totalling to $4 or less = 5% tax
Agreed, I too have seen 4.00 + 5% tax (Ontario)
if it makes you feel better you can just ask for a medium ice coffee, no ice + a cup of ice
a large cup and when you pour the medium ice coffee without ice + ice you'll have a large...it might even overflow
Also, a note on the coffee refills. These were supposed to be stopped when they introduced the XL coffee size (it's a LOT of coffee). A lot of Ontario locations stopped doing refills. Source: my buddy is a manager at a McD's
^ I want a bigger variety and a friggin' orange soda drink to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary. All these ads/commercials are making me so nostalgic and I'm really craving an orange soda from McD's. LOL
As much as I love my Orange Fanta soda drink. I have to admit, I'm really, really craving and missing the orange drink that McDonald's use to have. Does anyone remember what year they discontinued the orange drink in Toronto?
No refills.
I just drench bagels/bread in maple syrup at home and make a sandwich, tastes the same and I put a ton of egg, meat and cheese in it.
I always get the iced coffee, so it is $1.05
Free refills are valid during the same visit
