    • How does this work for children 4 and under who want to go on rides? Do I buy a ride all day pass for them?

Yup. This is admission only. If they want rides they'll need tickets or all day pass

If you have an adult that is going to the CNE but not going on the rides, I'd buy the ticket/ride combo for the adult (it's cheaper than buying separately) and give the ride bracelet to your child. Saves a couple bucks.

This has been my strategy in the past as well.

      ON only?
I don't see a stipulation in the rules that it's limited to only ON residents.

Is the CNE anywhere but Toronto?

    • No, the CNE is only in Toronto. Just like the PNE is only in Vancouver. I thought with your location, you were planning to visit Ontario during the CNE so wanted the free child's admission for someone in your group.

We have never been to CNE so Im wondering a few things.

We are going as group of 2 adults and 1 kid. I am thinking of getting 2 Ride All Day passes and this Kids pass, that way at least an adult can always ride with the kid - because I think most rides are in pairs only, does this strategy make sense?

How easy is it to swap the bracelet?

Typically how much would the rides cost?

      Thanks!

Since you were thinking of just one adult and one child going on rides, when you purchase your tickets, you'd buy 2 adult entrance / ride combo passes.

When you arrive, they scan to let you in and then direct you to pick up your ride all day bracelet at another booth near the midway rides. From there, you just tell the staff to put one bracelet on the child.
I personally never tried to take the bracelet off and put it on someone else.
If you wanted to buy separate coupons to ride, it's $5 for 4 coupons or something similar to that.

    • So I'm clear, this is for children 5 to 13, correct?

      4 and under don't need a pass?

      All answered at https://theex.com/main/guest-info/tickets/kids-passes

"Each Kid’s Pass admits one child 13 years of age or younger on any one day of the 2017 CNE. Please note rides are not included."

"Children 4 years and under are admitted for free and a pass is not required."
