get this dealVancouver residents, your public library card may soon be your free ticket to such popular local attractions as Science World, the Vancouver Aquarium, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra! Starting November 1, you can borrow the new Vancouver Inspiration Pass from the Vancouver Public Library for two weeks at a time (once per year, per card holder).
Each Vancouver Inspiration Pass allows entry for one family (two adults and up to four children aged 18 or younger) or six youths (aged 14-18) to a variety of Vancouver events and attractions, including:
- Science World
- Vancouver Art Gallery
- Vancouver Opera
- VPB Swimming Pools
- VPB Ice Rinks
- Bloedel Conservatory
- Vancouver Aquarium
- And More!
To borrow your Vancouver Inspiration Pass, you must be at least 14 years old and have a valid Vancouver Public Library card. Passes can by reserved online and then picked up at any VPL branch. Once you have your pass it is valid for two weeks and you may visit each eligible attraction one time during that period. Unfortunately for anyone living in other areas of the Lower Mainland, this offer is only available to residents inside the City of Vancouver.

The Library has 140 passes available for loan every two weeks. Twenty passes are available at the Library’s Central Library and six passes are available at each of the library’s branches across the city.
is anyone else having this issue VPL not allowing anymore holds?
so 180 people in line.. everyone gets it for 2 weeks? that's a current 7 year line up. wow.
Eligibility for a Library Card
Library cards are free to:
•all people who live or own property in the City of Vancouver
•all people who live within the InterLINK area
Some non-resident cards are available for a fee and some are free. Non-residents include persons who live on the University Endowment Lands (UEL) and at UBC, which are not incorporated into any municipality. However, some BC residents and some UBC residents may be eligible for free service. (Card for UBC residents who have Community Service Cards)
Toronto Public Library has a similar program too for people here.
