    • Perfect! Thanks OP... We've been thinking about getting a zoo membership this year so this is perfect timing. Will only need a dual membership since my two boys are under 4. Can anyone confirm it's 14-months from the day of purchase? If so, I'll buy it towards the end of April as hopefully the weather will be warmer.

When our kids were under 4 they let us buy a two year dual membership, even though they were >4 the second year.

Contemplating a renewal having been members for at least 4 years. Too bad parking cost is so high considering they don't charge in winter and lot is often full in summer.

Do the under-4 children get listed in the dual membership? The thing is that the 2 extra month promotion is only for a one-year membership, so it doesn't make sense to commit to a 2-year membership as that would negate the benefit of the extra 2 months (unless if they give you 26 months if you get the 2 year membership, which I don't think they would).

    • Our membership expires in July, if we renew now will it be good until Sept 2013?

The kids do not get listed under the dual. I suggest you speak to the membership people just inside the entrance for more info.

    • Wow I had no idea zoo memberships were so popular! Sure wish I had one when I was a kid!! I bet they do lots of neat activities and special days too....damn cheap parents.

This would also be cool for artists to go and sketch and paint all day....and photographers with big zoom lenseseses.

And I'd love to see something like this in person:

Yikes! For about $33 more it might make sense to get a Toronto CityPass and visit not just the Zoo, but Science Centre, Museum, and more...

Problem with the CityPass is it's only valid for 9 days, so you have to visit all the sites within the span of less than 2 weeks. Great if you're on vacation, but not very useful if you want to spread those visits out over the summer.

    • Here is what we do. We get a family membership and check off that there are 4 kids. We only have one, so this way we can take the daycare kids my wife looks after or some of our child's friends with us at no cost to the other parents.

    • Rather take the zoo membership than the science center, wonderland or the ROM...

If you get there early you won't have to battle for closer parking.

I think its a great way to get some exercise for the family and enjoy the fresh air/nature.

If it gets hot, just soak in the water splash area.

They don't bother you if you bring your own food and summer is so short, I don't want to be stuck indoors.

We normally get the Zoo membership as well as the ROM, but science center was fine when my child was younger and wonderland well that is just........

      Cheers!!

      And yes to the Pandas.....

Yep! A pretty good one, at that. I was there this weekend and saw the baby polar bear -- adorable!

If you want a free option, there is also the High Park zoo which is hidden away in the middle of the park. Definitely very small scale, but it's worth stopping by if you are going to the park to see the cherry blossoms in the next few days.

    • Bah, I just can't justify it. I'd have to make 3 trips to make it worth my while, and I'm not certain I'd make 3 trips over the next 14 months. They need to bring their prices down across the board, I say.

    • Almost forgot about this offer (got the email when it came out and procrastinated) - luckily I remembered today. Took advantage of this and renewed my existing membership. The kids love the zoo! I've never had an issue with close parking, but I visit the zoo on weekdays, so I'm sure that helps.

    • Membership with parking pass is sold out. How does it get sold out? You can still buy a 1 year parking pass separately.
