Steam Winter Sale Day 2: Sim City 4 $4.99 US, Dishonored $29.99 US and More!

Steam Winter Sale
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Here's one of the sales we've been waiting for! The Steam Winter Sale is live now and, as with all seasonal Steam deals, there will be new deals everyday along side flash sales that will be available for a limited time. Deals change everyday around 1pm EST so you'll want to check back early and often to take full advantage of the new daily deals and the limited time flash deals. Here's a look at what's on sale today:

  • Sim City 4 - $4.99 US
  • FEAR - 75% off
  • Darksiders Franchise - Up to 75% off
  • Dishonored - $29.99 US
  • Psychonauts - $2.49 US
  • Tom Clancy's Franchise - 31% off

If you've had your eye on some games, this is definitely one of the sales to check out. If you don't see any of your games on sale that day, don't worry as the popular titles usually roll in at some point during the sale. Steam only has a few massive sales every year so keep a close eye out as this is one of the bigger promotions to wind down 2012.

You'll need the Steam client to download and install. Remember to check back tomorrow for new deals!

Day One Deals

  • Scribblenauts Unlimited - $19.99 US
  • Mirror's Edge - $4.99 US
  • Borderlands Franchise - Save ~50%-75%
  • Prince of Persia Franchise - $2.49 US
  • Wargame European Escalation - $9.99 US
  • Hitman Franchise - Save ~50%-75%

    • Tips:
      1. Publisher packs have never appeared as daily deals. If you're interested in one, you don't need to wait for the last day.
      2. Daily Deals are the highest discount for individual games. Only buy individual games on daily deals or flash deals, until the last day of the sale
To add to your money saving tips to further reduce the damage to your wallet:
      -Hide your credit card(s)
-Change your Paypal passwords to something you won't remember
-Remove the Steam app from your cell phone
-If all fails disconnect the Internet at home for the duration of the Steam Christmas sale

      Your Welcome!

All seriousness you guys should add all the games you are interested to your wishlist, and keep an eye on that during the sale. Don't buy games because they are cheap, buy the ones you want, because you will end up with a pile of games you have no interest in playing.

If sale starts today as it was rumored it should start at 1PM EST.

      Happy shopping !

    • Just looked at your source, the Capcom Unity forums, and didn't see anything about a 4 AM start, although it does say 12/20. Like the previous poster said, probably starts at 1 PM eastern, that's when Steam usually updates.

    • 4am EST. Shouldn't it have started already?
Every time Steam has a major sale the deals change around 1-2PM EST, unless they're doing something different this time I wouldn't expect anything before lunch time.

    • I thought this sale was supposed to start on Friday lol Plus Steam sales ALWAYS start at 1pm

P.S. Please stop making posts before sales start just to be the first one to post it. There is no hot deal yet. We knew about this sale weeks ago thanks to some of the Devs, but nobody posted it then.
