The popular time waster Plants vs. Zombies Game of the Year Edition is on sale this weekend for $2.00 US via Steam. If you haven't heard of or played this game yet, you'll definitely want to check this out; especially because it's just the price of a cup of American coffee.

Plants vs. Zombies is a comedic take on the 'defend your castle' genre but, instead of building towers, you'll put down various plants to help you in fighting off wave after wave of zombies. - Haha I recently picked this up for $20 for PS3 (they tweaked it so you can play co-op or battle). Also came with Peggle and Heavy Weapon. $2 definitely a steal was an addictive game!

  Its pretty easy, just throw in your credit card, make the purchase, and the game downloads. Once thats done you just launch the game from within Steam or through a desktop shortcut if you want. Be warned though, once you enter your credit card, expect to be spending money in the future, its addicting. I'm sure you seen numerous Steam threads in the hot deals section. If you want to give it a try first you can download Team Fortress 2 (its a full free game).

  Thanks. Yeah I'm playing it right now. I've played this game before on DS, but for $2.00, it's a no-brainer, plus when my nephew and niece comes over, they can just play this game.
  
  BTW, what's the difference with the GOTY edition? I don't think it matters...

  It also says the GotY update is free to all original purchasers, so it's all essentially the same game now, yes.

- Protip: If the game looks like crap when you go fullscreen, change your desktop resolution to anything with a 4:3 ratio (like 1024x768) before launching the game and it should scale properly.
