Steam weekend deals are nothing new but this week they've got a deal on a game you can try before you potentially buy. Right now, you can pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for $29.99 which is a decent deal considering Black Ops 2 is a few months away. If you wanted to get in on the CoD craze but never found the time, or thought it was too expensive, now might be a good time to buy.

If you're not all that interested but want to try it out, you can play it for free now until Sunday at 1pm PST. Seasoned console CoD players can also get a feel for the PC version to see if its better, worse, or the same on a different platform. Needless to say, free to play weekends are quickly becoming office favourites.

Free to play ends on Sunday at 1pm PST and the 50% off deal ends on Monday at 10am PST. As with all Steam games, you'll need the client to download and install.
