PlayStation Mobile New Year Giveaway: Six Free Titles Over Six Weeks

New Year's is long gone but that isn't stopping Sony from putting out a very good promotion for the next six weeks. Until mid-February, you can download one new free title every week, for six weeks, courtesy of Sony provided you have a PlayStation Mobile certified device. The promotion started earlier this week and the first freebie is Samurai Beatdown.

More information can be found at the link here and we'd recommend bookmarking the page or setting up calendar reminders every week so you don't miss out on a freebie. Even if the game isn't to your liking, it's free so the only thing you will have invested is some bandwidth and maybe 30 minutes of your time. Here's hoping to some awesome titles in the coming weeks! If you have a Vita, here's an easy way to pad your library of growing games.

  I know and this is obviously intended to get more sign-up for sony entertainment ids/credit cards as they make it as hard as possible to access the content from anything other than a mobile device. in other words it's not for existing psn customers

  myself and others are talking about being able to order this through psn/ps3 just like we do with other vita games. and the ps3 is also not a portable system right? clear?
  
  I don't own a vita but I plan to when they start clearing them out and it would be nice to have some free games in the queue, but this is clearly a 'new membership drive' to get more sen signups and credit cards entered.

  lol sony's entire business plan with the vita had nothing to do with portable gaming and everything to do with selling you suckers expensive proprietary memory. that's why I am waiting for the vita price to crash so I can afford those crazy memory prices

  Hmmm sounds very familiar to another theory one of our late, great former members used to have regarding price errors at FS/BB.
  
  You might remember him, Vinman, had a theory that price errors were done on purpose to get new people to sign up for accounts.

  There are rumours that BB will be putting the Vita memory cards on sale soon. Best to wait.

  These are not PSVita games, they're playstation mobile games. This was around before the vita on the sony certified phones and tablets. They just happen to be compatible with the PSV.
  
  I don't know why they didn't integrate this with the current psn store because it's annoying as hell having to access 3 different interfaces on 3 different devices. I wonder what we're going to be able to access via the web store when they update.
