Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project: Volunteer for a Park Project + Get a Free Concert Ticket

Volunteer for a Park Project, Get Free Concert Tix
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Molson Canadian is running a neat program this summer. Basically, if you volunteer to work on a park project (planting trees, improving trails and doing basic beautification like litter pick-up) you'll get a free concert ticket to a Red Leaf Project Concert. You have to be legal drinking age to take part, and of course, there's a limit of one concert ticket per park project volunteer.

You can get more details on Facebook or on this page from Molson (must be legal drinking age to view). You can find park project near you using their interactive map. There are 100 projects across Canada available, but each one has a set limit of participants, so sign up sooner rather than later if you're really interested in taking part.

Curious-where did you get that info? Wondering which concert Toronto area volunteers get tickets for.

weird, no event listed at Amphitheatre for that date yet. It'll be a 'mystery concert'

    • As on each Eventbrite RSVP page for Toronto events: ''Everyone who takes part will be rewarded with a ticket to the Exclusive Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project concert in Toronto (exciting artist announcement coming soon!).''

I'm not surprised if ''Exclusive Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project concert'' implies that it'll be a local, small-scale mishmash of artists. With such a wide range of event dates, there's not a good chance that they can fit all those volunteers into a regular-playing concert at the Ampitheatre with a well-known artist otherwise.

I don't know about that. Look at the other events, the lineups are pretty well known famous, and talented artists...

Yeah well, I was just boldly speculating to begin with start out with low hopes, and that'll allow for room to be pleasantly surprised

The main difference is that those other events are real festivals with paying customers. Letting some people into an existing event is a bit different than planning something just for these volunteers in Toronto.

I'm sure they will make sure it's not embarrassingly bad, but I doubt it will be comparable to the lineup that a promoter would put together if they were trying to put on a real festival.

That being said, who are we to **** on a free concert.

    • Has anyone been to one of the tree planting events yet? I am going tomorrow night, just wondering how it is? Do they have food/drinks at the end? (says there is an after-party on the site). See that there is a different location to park and then a bus leaves from there to the park.

It also lists all of the people's names that are participating... not sure I like that with regards to privacy reasons...

EDIT - Oh crap, just noticed that September 29th is Nuit Blanche in Toronto..... Likely not going to go to the concert that night... Still planning on helping out with the tree planting tomorrow but depends if I manage to get free tickets to a show at Luminato...

    • looks like they updated the individual red leaf project eventbrite sign up pages or atleast for my project at centennial park etobicoke and the concert on sept 29 is Tragically Hip at molson amphitheatre

description of an east coast party included a dinner of hamburger and fries at restaurant and probably beer at the park as it shows in some pictures on park project website a van full of beer cans at the park so hopefully same or better for the Toronto locations at various pubs/bars
