Humble Bundle

Humble Bundle for Android: PWYW for Splice, Eufloria, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP and More!

Humble Bundle 4 for Android
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

It's hard to resist a good video game sale especially one where you get to actually choose how much you're paying! The Humble Bundle is back this time with games for anyone with an Android device. Right now, you can pay what you want for a crack at the following titles:

  • Splice
  • Eufloria
  • Walking Mars
  • Crayon Physics Deluxe
  • Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP

If you pay more than the average, right now at $5.29, you'll also have access to Machinarium. Proceeds from all bundles sold go to Child's Play Charity so take that into consideration when making a purchase.

If you're not sure if any of these games are for you, the homepage has video trailers to give you an idea of what's in store.

The sale ends in two weeks.

Exactly. It gives you instructions on how to do it when you make the purchase. There is even a Humble Bundle Android app that helps keep your apps up-to-date with the latest versions.

      https://www.humblebundle.com/app

You just make an account and it can pull down all previous purchases you made for other Android bundles.

    • Download Humble Bundle app from the site, it lets you install any of the purchased games on your Android phone.

Sidenote: I also hate it when a d-bag decides he has to rush to be the first to post something and puts absolutely nothing into the OP. At least put some helpful information. Stuff like that should just get deleted.

You need to enable 'unknown sources' installs.

    • I just bought the bundle without any sort of registration. I just used my google ID to buy through the Play store. The Humble Bundle app is now asking me for a login. Where do I get that? If I make a new account will my games show up?

Thanks. I just made one. They found that I'd bought the games under this same email address and asked if I'd like to claim them once I registered. Very well thought out.

so just like the PC version then. lack of sensible scaling options. still haven't bought it for this reason.

Can someone tell me how the games are provided exactly? For comparison, with PC the games are either solo drm-free downloads, or can be registered with Steam, but ONLY ALL AT ONCE with a single key.

I am only interested in this if Superbrothers is the regular version from the Play Store (or would be once it's out of Beta) and would get the same updates and be attached to my Google account.

    • Right, so how exactly is it accomplished?
If I recall correctly, you get a single Steam key to download all the apps on a PC and also get individual DRM-free downloads for each game.

I'm not an Android expert, so I don't know if using incorrect terms or something, but bare with me. Anyways, first you have to allow your device to download/install packages from unknown sources. Then from your humble bundle unique URL, you install the humble bundle app. Then from there, you log into your account (if you don't have one, create one with the email you bought it with). When that's done, you'll see a list of the apps you can install and you can install what you want. So yea, you won't be installing the apps from the Play Store, they'll be hosted by humble or the developers.

    • Ah, too bad. I'd rather have things come from a more permanent reliable, primary source. For example, I'm not sure how updates would be handled months into the future. Not sure there is a way they could redeem Play Store purchases though

    • A tip: sometimes they'll add extra titles a few days into the sale, which is available to new purchasers who pay above the average, but if you already bought the bundle before the titles were added then you automatically receive them (even if you paid below average). So those who plan to buy but pay below average, should do it sooner rather than later.

The Humble Bundle Android app updates apps to their latest versions for the apps I use. If it is updated in Google Play, it is also updated in the Humble Bundle app as well.
