Get out to the movies for less with this special discount offer from Empire Theatres. Empire Insiders can claim their coupon for a $6.99, $7, or $7.99 general admission ticket this October (offer price varies by region).

Coupons are valid for one general admission ticket when purchased at Empire Theatre locations across Canada (not valid on online ticket orders). Coupons are uniquely barcoded and available for single-use only. You can redeem your admission coupon for regular screenings (subject to seat availability), but they are not valid on drive-in, special event, or IMAX screenings and a surcharge will be required for RealD 3D and Empire Extra Experiences.

If you are already an Empire Insider, your coupon link should be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you are not already an Empire Insider you can register here for free.

- I actually received links to two different coupons: one for use in the Ottawa area ($7.00), and one for use anywhere in Canada outside of Ottawa ($6.99). Very strange. I'll probably only use the Ottawa area one.

- Thanks G0AT. That is indeed weird - also with the difference of 1c Both of my coupons for 2 accounts state the identical theatres locations only in Ottawa. I hope it is nation-wide though from the look of it.

  Coupon says they are not valid on "special events/programs" so it's unlikely...but that would be great if you can.

  Probably not. The Empire-Granville St. theatre is more of host venue for VIFF and film fest tickets are sold independently of the Empire chain, though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check.

  So it doesn't really matter? Wait never mind. Usually from what I know 3D/Real D 3D tickets regular price are $11.99 right? So lets say a coupon is $6.99 + $3 surcharge = $9.99. It almost works out to the same right?

- At Empire theatres, the $7 ticket coupon gives you $5 off the regular ticket price of $12. You have to pay an extra $3 for 3D/Imax/Extra whether you use the coupon ($7+$3) or not ($12+$3). I hope that's clear?

  Surcharge applies for Real 3D, but is not valid for IMAX. Says so on the coupon, bolded too. lol.

- I wonder why the price difference. Richmond Hill someone received a 6.99 email. I am in Oshawa and I received a 8.00 one.
