Costco.ca: Cineplex Print at Home Movie Packages including 1 Children's Ticket, Drink/Candy/Popcorn for $10.79
Here's a nice bunch of Cineplex ticket offers from Costco.ca!
- Cineplex Night Out Child Movie Package 5-Pack - $49.99 (includes 5 child admission tickets, 5 popcorn trays, 5 child-size soft drinks and 5 small candies)
- Cineplex Night Out Child Movie Package - $10.79 (includes one child admission ticket, one popcorn tray, one child-size soft drink and a small candy)
- Cineplex Night Out Movie Package - $24.99 (includes two adult admission tickets, two regular soft drinks and a regular popcorn)
As far as we can tell, the five-pack of children's tickets are intended to be used all at once at the same day/time, so for smaller groups you'd be better off buying individual children's movie packages.
This offer isn't valid in Manitoba and "certain areas of Saskatchewan" although we haven't been able to narrow down the exact geographical limitation there. Tickets expire two years from the date of purchase (except for Saskatchewan and Quebec, where they do not expire).
You do not need to be a Costco member to take advantage of this offer.

(referring to the 2 for 1 movie.. never noticed if the other ones are for sale in store).
Don't forget that there is tax on these, IMO it's only a good deal if you watch regular movies. You have to add the price difference if you want to buy 3D, IMAX, or AVX movies with these tickets.
In-store is ~2$ cheaper and works as soon as you have it.
So, couple of things to keep in mind:
- experiences vary how long it takes to get your confirmation email/coupon. This may matter if you are trying to order at last minute online.
- it's ~ 9.79 instore for the child tix.
- you basically get the drink/popcorn/chocolate egg for the same price of a regular child's tix if you bought it at the theatre.
- you don't have to redeem the food portion of the tix right away. You can redeem it at a later date if you wish.
- they make a decent gift alternative.
It's cheaper if you buy them at Costco physically and you have it instantly, whereas if you buy online you don't know how long it takes for your email to come.
Also, you can upgrade the food portion of the ticket for a small amount of money (I think I paid like 40 cents to up-size everything).
it's kinda stupid if you asked me...
So.. We should be able to get points..
I wrote a lengthy article about all the different ways I could possibly think of to save money on movie tickets (came up with 20+ ways):
http://www.howtosavemoney.ca/how-to-...-movie-tickets
In Scarborough, general admission is:
Morningside: 8.50
Scarborough Town Center: 10.99
Eglinton Town Center: 10.99
Fairview Mall: 11.99
It might be obvious, but I just wanted to point it out.
These are actual movie tickets .... just slightly discounted, so to speak.
They can be used for any movie, anytime.
