If you've been waiting for a good deal to come for Battlestar Galactica on Blu-ray, you are in luck! Right now, Amazon.ca is accepting pre-orders on Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for $149.99. This is the re-issue of the set and according to High-Def Digest, will include Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. It also has different packaging from the original Blu-ray release.

This is just about on par with the best deal we've ever seen for this series. About a month ago, Amazon.co.uk had the original Blu-ray release for around $150 CAD after currency conversion. With shipping and possible duties factored in, things are pretty even. Of course, you receive the extra movie in the re-release as well.

- My thinking is that the individual cases will have the disc information / episode info on them, which will work as well as an episode guide. You could also print out the guide that vicmackey on avsforum prepared at this link. I printed this out, and it looks dang nice.

  The new box set includes all 4 seasons in their entirety (i.e. 4.0 + 4.5), the mini-series that started it all off (again), Razor, and The Plan. The only noticeable ommission are the webisodes. $149.99 CAD is a killer deal for the blu-ray series. You could probably buy it, watch it and and sell it on craiglist and still make a profit.
