This is a great deal for adults who want a fabulous and fun get-away. If you're the family type, however, you may want to try the Family Package Plan; all of the benefits above at a cost of $993 USD (aprox. 1,124.37 CDN) for 2 adults and 1 child. - Just came back from WDW a week ago. This sounds like a good deal. Meal plan is really great. Just make sure u made your reservation ahead of time. Nicer restaurant can be difficult to book. Only thing with this package is that, u need to add park hopper option if u plan to go to more than 1 theme park per day.
  1 week is adequate to cover magic kingdom, epcot, mgm, and animal kingdom if u skip the kiddy rides and pic with their disney characters.

  1 park per day - or more if you wish, you just use up your passes quicker. You get six theme park passes, which alone can run around $70 each if purchased at the gate down there. Do what you want with the passes. You can upgrade to a park hopper which allows you to go to more than one per day. I went last year and did not even use up all the passes. Take a few days to check out the AMAZING resorts at WDW. That in itself is worth going for.

  looks good, only negatory is that its for Disney World....Florida and we wanted to go to Disney Land (cali) so i guess we will keep our eyes open, cheers

  Lines can be bad, but I think they have a great system in place to expedite the process. You never feel as though you are waiting forever because of the way you are processed (sounds funny I know, but you are being processed like an assembly line).
  
  Plus with the fast pass system, you can jump the queue if you have a ticket that tells you what time to come back.
  
  Everything is pricey ... but with the dining plan, who cares!! Eat what you want. Buying other crap would only get pricey if you cannot control your urges for gift shop junk.
  
  There are tons of website out there showing you how to do things right at WDW and how not too spend too much $$. But with this deal, you really do not have to spend too much additional $$ because it is all done up front.

- We booked on Thursday for this deal. There are lots of sites to learn about maximizing your stay at Disney. For information on all the restaurants, check out www.allears.net they have menus, pictures and reviews. You do not need to purchase the 6 day park tickets if you don't want to. We booked 6 nights and a 1 day park ticket since we added no expiration to our tickets last year and that left us days over. This can make the price even cheaper, but you need to make sure you get at least enough days that you plan to use. You can add the no expiration and add additional days since it gets much cheaper the more days you add.
  
  This year our 2 year old who is still free, we added him as a 3 year old with a 1 day ticket so he will get his meals free during our stay. We'll hold on to the park ticket for him and use it next time we go back and he's actually 3. All we did was prepay for a day of him and doing so entitles us to the meal plan for him.
  
  As for lineups we went last year during the promotion. The longest we waited for a ride was 20 minutes and there is the fast pass system to help you with the most sought after rides.

  How's the temperature in August/September - wouldn't it be roasting hot?
  My wife and I went last year from August 22rd - August 29th. It was very humid and in the 30s all day long. There are pretty much daily showers but with proper planning, it is probably the best time of the year to go as we had very few lineups to worry about. The main goal is to be up when the parks open so you can do the big rides first and not arrive at 12pm like most people do and wait in line at every single ride. I highly recommend carrying a hydration pack just so you don't have to stop for drinks everywhere. We bought one at a hiking shop and it served us quite well. Dining plan is excellent and meals are such big portions that you can sometimes just share 1 meal between 2 people.

  it is not even close to being as bad as wonderland. I was at disney during christmas. was able to take all the rides I wanted, the fastpass option is great. september will be just fine. On the other hand, there is just no way to speed up things at wonderland. I had a season pass last year, went thrice, havent even seen half the place... seems like there are a million people there all the time :-)

- Disney - I love that place, and so did my 2 year old when we went a few years ago.
  
  My advice: Christmas is the busiest day of the year - if you don't need to be there at that time, don't. Summers are hot - but they've got cooling stations built into the lineups.
  
  What we found best was "The Unofficial Guide to Disney World" (and also Disney Land) This book is scientifically written and researched. I went on Boxing day to Disneyland and went through essentially the entire park. We used it for DisneyWorld and same thing. Tells you where to start, when to get there, when to get fast passes, which rides to see or skip - and touring plans for kids, older kids or adults. It was amazing. It helps you walk through the park in a scientific manner and maximizes the useful time you are there. Definitely my two thumbs up for that book.

  My wife and i booked this last year and needless to say as soon as i heard they were doing it again we booked right away. It's a smoking hot good deal. That being said we went last year september 20th to the 25th and it was smoking hot as well(humid like crazy and we were glad we didn't have young kids because some of them looked like they we're being tortured in line from the heat). But if you go in shorts and a tank top it is managable(if you're tough). What makes it nice is past labour day the parks are pretty empty and we never waited longer than 10 mins in line for anything. One bit of advice is to avoid the parks that have magic hours(the extra magic hours is a bit of a scam as everyone goes to that park when they start and the lines become crazy). Also during free dinning the restaurants are packed but everyone is on the dinning plan so the waitreses/servers are totally used to it and you won't get any dirty looks or anything since the plan even includes there tip(it's paid to them by disney) and with most people in addition leaving them an extra buck or two they do quite well and are happy(but usually tired from the extra work). just make your reservations now(i called yesterday and spent half an hour on hold since everyone is reserving for aug/sept) and last year people who didn't make reservations till there trip had trouble getting anything decent. Last time we ate at le cellier($120 bill total) mitskoshi($100) total and a few other places. we added it up and just the food bill payed the whole trip(but our favroite place was the african buffet at Boma which was only $65, but we are eating there three times this time because it's the best food we've ever had anywhere). Book now if you're going to stay at the value resorts(we're staying at pop century last time we stayed at all star sports and loved it value resort or not) Plus if you're staying at a resort you don't pay for parking at the parks(saves $10 a day). We're also lucky since we have lots of hopper days and fun and more days left over so only had to pick up the one day/park ticket. If you have any questions just check out the disboards or shoot me a PM and i would be happy to let you know what we learned during our trip. I can honestly say that the only people i met who were dissapointed with the free dinning are the ones who waited too long to make reservations and couldn't get any decent restaurants. P.S. during this time Sea World, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios are crazy dead with no line ups at all and if you can stand the heat you can walk on just about anything.

  Same here...but I specifically mentioned now or early summer when most kids are still in school and most ppl do not have time to go on vacation. I did not state during mid summer....anyhoo its still a good deal and I have never been yet to DW.

- The Dining plan was amazing Well worth it. Most of Disneys restaurants were really good too and Great service!!!!!!!!!!! Alot of times I ended up tiping above the dining plan just because I was so impressed.
  
  But........... Make your Dinner reservations NOW or you wont be able to get a good time for the good restaurants or Character Dining (You must do Cinderella Royal table if you have a little girl)
  
  As far as overpriced yes the merch is but you never feel like its being forced on you and even the photos that they take of you around the park that they want you to buy you can view online but if you let them take your pic they will usually take one with your camera as well (unheard of at wonderland)

  Its a good time to go...most U.S. kids are back in school by beginning/mid-August. As someone else mentioned, take advantage of fastpass and extra hours for WDW guests.
  
  Even if there are line-ups, they go way faster than Wonderland cause Disney is organized!
