    • Since you went to one last year, what is the "catch"?

I see that it's AYCE, but are there rules like only 1 hot dog at a time or something? Or can you just ask them for 5 hot dogs and go back to your seat? I assume there's crazy line ups as well?

I'm a bit hesitant cause there's always something that makes great deals like this less so. If there's no restrictions and getting your food isn't made a hassle, then this is a killer deal if you wanted to catch the Jays this season.

Not usually. The Rogers Centre's employees are quite strict.

I was there last year...no rules that I was aware of, you could take whatever you wanted and how ever many you wanted. Lineup is pretty nonexistent since alot of the food is set out already and after the pregame/first few innings the place is pretty empty. And yeah, I also saw people take home tons of food (saw people with grocery bags full of food...)

They also include bottled water for those who don't want to drink pop

    • Yep lots of people came loaded with knapsacks and bags ready to pack peanuts, popcorn, chips, and drinks home. They set up that restaurant to serve all the food so it's actually a bit of a trek back to the 200 level seats. Some people knew to bring their own trays to bring all their hotdogs and nachos back.. you can only carry so much in your two hands.

Got my tix already.. scored the first row in section 207. Will come prepared this year to maximize the experience.

    • So basically the only 'buffet' where containers are allowed

On a more serious note, is this a deal because of the exorbitant 'a la carte' prices that are otherwise charged for this stuff? I mean, you could eat at an AYCE restaurant (where there is surely going to be a wider variety and better quality food, even considering an average restaurant) for probably about the same price, so I'm guessing this appeals primarily to the die-hard baseball fans?

I think there are separate gates, stairwells and concourses for 100/200/500, so you can't go from one level to another.

You could, but then you'd be away from the free food & drinks. You could easily scalp better seats for under $40.

It isn't a deal per say - the regular price for a 200 lvl outfield is probably about $30, so it's like getting some food for free. This is more for families to budget their $$$.

I am considering going and eating like 50 hotdogs as a joke, but I don't want to pay the $40 when I can go upstairs for free.

I would hate to see the aftermath of a 50 hotdog binge :-p

      No catch!

You literally can grab as many items as you like.
I originally felt the same way as you last year and I was surprised by how much food you can take.

Keep going through the buying path. When you get closer to the payment screen they'll add another $17 per ticket for the food pass thing. That's a $5.50 ticketmaster gouge fee that's the difference after you add the $17.

    • It's a good time to go with friends. Agree on the idea to bring a tray, carrying 6 hot dogs and two trays of nachos back to your seat can be difficult. Bring a gym bag for all your extras, you'll have your junk food covered for a month. For those with dietary concerns, the hot dogs are 100% beef.

Oh and if you don't put the nacho cheese on at least one hot dog, you aren't doing it right.

    • I sat in these seats a couple of years ago.

Good deal but I was appalled by the number of people hoarding and stuffing food in their backpacks to take home. Really?? How big a looser do you have to be to do this?

If you don't don't mind possibly having a freak hoarder next to you go for it.
