Newegg.ca: Refurbished Nexus 7 16GB Tablet $154.49 with Free Shipping (Hot!)

Newegg.ca: Refurb Nexus 7 16GB Tablet $154.49
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

If you missed out on the previous Nexus 7 deal at Tiger Direct, Newegg.ca has a similar promotion running for a limited time. Right now, you can get your hands on a refurbished model of the popular Android 7" tablet on sale for $155 which is one of the lowest prices we've seen for the handheld. In spite of rumours of a new Nexus tablet hitting the market sometime in the coming months, this is still a very capable tablet and one that you should consider.

refurbished ASUS Nexus 7 16GB Tablet - $154.49

Some of its features include:

  • 7” 1280x800 (216ppi) HD IPS Screen
  • Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
  • 16GB Hard Drive
  • 1 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Bluetooth
  • NFC (Android Beam)
  • 4,325 mAh battery
  • GPS

The deal is live now but, at this price, we expect stock to move very quickly. Shipping is free.

    • I just ordered this from them on the 27th for $23.50 more. I just e-mailed them asking for the difference, thanks (hope Newegg will do it).

    • Its not really a rumor.

The new Nexus 7 is out in July.

1080p screen, quad core Snapdragon processor, NFC.

Should be the same price as the current Nexus 7.

So it's confirmed? Early July? I might hold off on buying one of those Chinese Retina tablets if this is true...

    • I'll wait for the new one to drop, I don't buy tablets that aren't discontinued or close to it and $100 or less.

How many decent tablets have you bought that meet those criterias?

Two and a half... Two HP Touchpads that are currently running Jelly Bean smoothly and reliably and the half would be the playbook I got for net around $50 after a Future Shop promo/free printer fiasco. Personally I find the Playbook useful for what it is (since I already have droid tablets) but many would disagree so it only counts as a half hehe.

The Touchpads, particularly when overclocked, run Android well enough that even after this time I still have not really felt the need to buy anything else.

    • I bought one last week when they had that deal. The tablet is in perfect condition, no sign of wear.

It took me a full day to convert completely to Android, this tablet works fine, and I have to say my iOS device (iPod Touch 4Gen) feels outdated now...

The thing is it won't be that price for a long long while, at least a year. I was looking for a device that could surf the web while I'm in backyard and look at videos on the bus. Even if they released a Nexus 7 3 next week I wouldn't regret my decision to get the Nexus 7

I had a 32GB and i had to recharge it nightly.. by 9-10pm it was down to 15-20%. And i wasn't even using it hard, not watching videos etc.. just surfing and email.
On the other hand my ipad 2,, it can go 3 days without re-charging. That's the only thing i dont like about the Nexus.
Who knows, maybe mine had battery issues.

I suggest going Setting -> Battery and look for some clues, and hopefully its not a battery issue.

I returned it actually.. i had cracked my screen on my ipad, and i figured i would buy the Nexus 7 to see if i would like it has a replacement.
The battery issue drove me nuts, so i returned it to Costco and got my ipad fixed by apple.

At this price, i might buy it again.. just for s***s and giggles.

    • I bought a refurbished one from Newegg - 2 months ago.
Came down to $181 after taxes. Shipping was free.
This deal is like $5 cheaper.
The tablet was in a very good condition, like new. If you look very closely you can find minor imperfections but that is fine with me.
It came with Android 4.1.2, found update 4.2.1 right away and then 4.2.2
Battery life is good enough, it could stay in sleep for like 7 days.
      Overall very nice device.
I would take refurb Nexus 7 for $180 over any Chinese tablet

    • Picked up a refurbished model in January for $180ish and it worked perfectly out of the box. At this price, it's a steal. Even if a new Nexus is rumoured, it doesn't make this less of a tablet to consider. Obviously if it's the same price you'll want to wait but chances are it'll be like $210 + tax + shipping from Google which quickly adds up.

Thanks OP. Posting to the front.

    • Will the upcoming nexus 7 be made by asus or samsung?

I went through 4 different nexus 7's because they all had a bunging bezel on the left side in portrait mode. Poor manufacturing by asus.

I can watch almost 3 full length movies over wifi with screen set to "auto" brightness. Normal usage I charge my nexus 7 every 3-4 days. I think you have a dud.
