Yeah, I ordered the blue one, which may also get dirty quickly... But I guess at that price, you could order two and still be ahead!

    • Be careful though, I don't think this has magnets in the cover, so it won't auto-sleep when close the cover. For me that's a deal breaker.

Still, nice deal though considering it's half the price of that one on the google store.

I already have a case off Amazon with a sleep function but this is for those days when you don't need one and I am fine with that. It hardly takes few seconds to press the power button once to turn off the screen/put the tablet into sleep.

I got this one, it may fit your category of a good alternative slim case: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B008...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

      My review on Amazon:

This is my first ever case for the Nexus 7 and I must say that the shipping was perfect thanks to the 1 month free trial for Amazon Prime. Arrived one day earlier than expected.

That being said let me get straight to the review.

      Pros:

      1) Sturdy
      2) The Nexus 7 fits well
      3) The ports and buttons are easily accessible and are not blocked by the actual case's material
      4) Sleep/wake function works fine EXCEPT (see below #1)

      Cons:

      1) If you fold the front lid all the way back, it actually locks the screen or rather shuts it off. I think it has to do with the magnetic feature. Either way, the only way to avoid that problem is if you don't fully fold it back, but fold it halfway. Kind of annoying but hopefully its fixed or something if I do decide to RMA it.

      2) To make the Nexus 7 stand in an angle is kind of hard to take it off from the two "grooves"

      3) Quality could be better, but its a case after all.

Overall, its a decent case, but to be honest, I wouldn't have paid this much for it - $24.99. I would rather pay probably around $15 for it. There are other alternatives for sure.

    • Thanks OP. Picked the last blue one up at Bay/Bloor. Stock on site looks accurate, still lots of light grey there. The light grey looks slightly darker in person than the picture on the site.
