Xbox Arcade w/Fable II $149, Slingcatcher $100 at BestBuy.ca, More...

BestBuy.ca has what is probably the best Xbox deal of the year so far with the Xbox 360 Arcade with a free copy of Fable II for only $149 with free shipping! The only downside is Xbox Arcade doesn't have a built-in hard drive but at this price, you can't really complain. It's currently out of stock, but you can buy it now and it will ship when it's back in stock. Here's a couple other deals from this weekend's sale:

      Good point ... but hey if you score the game then i am sure it has some TIV ...

      price match it to FS today and then go back and get the game or demand $45 off ... hmm dont think that will fly

      It's only 10:02 EST, the stores just opened in Ontario, so give the BB guys a few more minutes to hide stock and adjust online inventory.

      the price hasn't been updated yet so I ordered it anyway - will either give them a call or order it again once they adjust the price, then will cancel the first order

    • This is a great deal. I am tempted to get one (as a backup console, I already own a 360) and then just sell Fable 2.

      They wont charge for full price if you are fully armed with the copy of flyer above.

      Me too... $149 with Fable II is a pretty good deal, and if I can score an OEM hard drive on Deal Extreme for a few bucks, I figure I'll get $150 value out of an X360, eventually. Now I have something to plug that HD-DVD drive into! :-)

      EDIT: can I just use an external USB drive and have all the same functionality as an "attached" hard drive?

    • Just got back from Best Buy Markville. The $149 with Fable 2 price is a price error. They are trying to get the price changed online. They did give me the package sale price since I was first. I tried to buy more than one but they would only give me one. as for stock, they had about 40 arcades left and maybe 6 Fable 2 games. The Fable 2 games are in the locked shelf by the register so you can check to see if they are still there. The deal will not work without the Fable 2 game.

      It took over 30 minutes to process the order because the price was just too low to allow the system to take it. Sorry I don't have a scanner or I'd scan my bill for you to take to TRU, FS, WM, etc. to price match. Note - it is a package deal and not a boxed package so you should be able to PM.

      Unbelievably no one else was buying this.

      BTW, system was made in Sep 2009. there were lots of them so unlikely a repackaged banned xbox 360. i forgot how to look for a Jasper so can not confirm if Jasper or not.

      yikes, after reading that, I called them (I had placed my order anyway, worried they'd go out of stock) and had no problem getting the $50 credited. whew!

      though if I can snag one at a Costco, I'll return this one

      Sure, now go drive to your local Costco, feverishly search around, spend 20 minutes looking for the one CSR, and then find out that it's a store-specific sale and no other Costco is offering it.

      Then drive to FS/BB and get this deal.

      Just got back from my local BB. The price/bundle is correct but the date is wrong. The sale doesn't start until tomorrow and they will not honour it today. I did get a raincheck though so I'll drop by tomorrow to pick it up.
