OLED
+ better contrast ratio
+ higher saturation (makes colours pop)
- worse colour temperature (some people think the screen tints the image blue/yellow/etc.)
- weird noise effects (miura?) on black/dark images (these appear as stripes or blotches on the screen--hard to see, but most screens have them, including my 1000)
LCD
+ better colour temperature (seems to have more accurate colours)
+ slightly better detail? (haven't heard many reports here)
- worse contrast ratio
? lower saturation (some people actually like this, as the bright colours look unnatural to some people)
? whatever weird glitches people find with the new LCD screens (but so far haven't heard much and it's been out in Japan/UK for a while)
At the end of the day, I don't think the screens will be that different. I have a Nexus 5 with an LCD screen and a Galaxy Nexus with an AMOLED screen, and you can tell the difference side by side but in day-to-day use it really doesn't matter. You'll probably get used to whichever screen you end up with.
As an aside: my Vita shipped, so the coupon still works!
And even if they (as in my case with the laptops) "can't locate the stock in the warehouse", they cancel it anyway and then put the item up for sale *again* when they finally do get it. that happened with my on some laptops I ordered in november on clearance - 2 were allocated to me, 2 showed up in the warehouse, but the order just sat there for days. when I called them back, they said they couldn't locate it in their warehouse and had to cancel the order - they wouldn't wait, they wouldn't let the order sit until filled, just cancelled.
And then a few months later, guess what shows up on their site? 2 units of the same laptop, and at a slightly higher price.
the source is well-known for their out-of-stock clearance sales, and at the big laptop clearance from last november, I ordered 4 laptops for presents and got zero, and then on the latest one from a few months ago, I bought 3 more laptops and got 1. same with 96-cent games, etc., order one of each game and I might get a few rattling around in a box, along with the standard 'sorry, no stock" email.
and a lot of times on partial orders, those morons charge my credit card for the full amount and I need to get them to reverse charges, so check your statements people.
this "sale" is stupid, as it's actually an anti-sale with prices higher (even after discount) than they were before. reminds me of stupid tactics of retailers who have long gone bankrupt - have a "sale" or "coupon" and then jack prices higher.
Does anyone have any idea (from past experience) if this will get filled by The Source?
Also, if anyone had and email coupon this wish to share, I could go into a store with stock and buy it right away. (thanks in adance)
I'd love to save my son some money on this.

Just curious if the second order I placed will go through...as there was an indication the coupon is one-time use....I did get the order confirmation for the reduced price, but....
BTW...thanks OP!
And now I've made a dumb purchase.
(sorry not sorry)
