Here's an excellent deal from PC Village: the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD HDTV for $749.95. Despite the impressively low price tag, this is a 1080p set, includes its own tuner, and has 4 HDMI inputs. It doesn't look like there are many in stock, so act quickly. PC Village is a GTA based retailer, but does offer shipping options across Canada. The cost of shipping a 42" TV however, might prove prohibitive.

  it seems the MS is alot higher this one is 8ms and the one i just bought is around 4ms any difference in picture quality?

  the specs are very way off as in the quality looks kinda not that hot for the price plus all tvs are dropping like crazy!! but yea this price is indeed hot im gonna pass but a Pricematch would do?

  In the ATSC crowd, there are some unresolvable problems reported with the ATSC tuners in Toshiba (albeit older ones) - that's enough for me to stay clear of them. Of course I can't comment on the functionality of Westy tuner but some users of older models said there was actually an ATSC program guide (EPG) on Westy - that my damn LG doesn't have. One thing I can tell you is, the Toshiba is definitely NOT $400 better.

- Based on my positive experience with an almost one year old Westinghouse W4207 (Dell DOD Sale @ $699), I just purchased this model.
  
  After quick tests with SD and HD OTA, I have nothing to complain about. For the $750 price it is tough to beat as the same model is being sold at Dell and Costco for $1200.
  
  I was told I bought the last unit from the chain (picked up at Markham store) but they will be restocking. Also inquired about the W4207 (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...d.php?t=606582) they had listed yesterday but removed today. Was told it's no longer available and will not be restocked.

- Nice TV but shipping and vendor kills the deal IMO. Did not like customer service of PCV when my HDD failed after few months. I would beware of the PCV, my 0.2 cents

  if your hdd failed, all you gotta do is call the manufacturer with the serial number, get rma number, mail the hdd, wait a couple weeks and a new one gets shipped to you. doesnt get much easier. i dunno how pcv couldve mucked it up.

  Actually, considering practicality, 42" is not a good monitor. It is way too big for desks. If you mount it or put on TV stand, everything is way too small to be seen from normal viewing distance @ 1920x1080. It is a ba$tard range.

- Anyone here actually mount this TV on the wall? Having a hard time figuring it out because the little black screws that come on the back of the TV where you are to put the wall mount don't screw in all the way... Any help would be appreciated.
