They stopped it a few months ago. I know because I was looking for the free trial at that time.

I got the trial June 8th. I doubt you couldn't get the trial few months ago.

I know when I signed up, there was no mention of free trial but i called to confirm that trial is free.

At least, now there is mention of the free trial. Believe me, I've read posts that it wasn't available anymore.

Thanks for sharing your experience but just because you think it was always available, it doesn't mean it was. I prefer not to have to call as those are YMMV. Congratulations on your success over the phone btw Matthiew.

just because there was no banner doesn't mean it wasn't available.

I didn't call to sign up for membership; I called to confirm it was indeed free trial, and then signed up on the website like everybody else. :)

      maybe they activated in june.

I promise you as well, it was not a free trial like this before. They gave you 30 days free trial once you purchase 12months, unlike on .com where they gave the free trial like its back to now.

    • people complain about prime but this is a good deal?

move to freebies if anything, no hot deal about 69.99 for newegg premier with no pc case shipping as other person stated. that was the ONLY thing worthwhile if your a builder.

    • I got the 90 days free membership from the last posted deal but its been over a month now and i havent found a great deal in newegg. If there is a great deal, it ships from their US warehouse and is not marked premiere. I miss last year's deals where i got a lot of items including cases for a very low price shipped free.

I totally agree. I was buying a large printer with $30 shipping a couple months ago, so I figured I might as well sign up for a year of NE Premier and get free shipping.

Well, after I signed up I discovered that all large items are excluded from free shipping... cases, printers, etc. I canceled my Premier membership the day I got it.

It seems to me that it's only worth it if you're buying things exclusively from NE on a weekly or bi-monthly basis. Their competitors (NCIX) now offer free shipping on small items anyway in their weekly promotion.

they also offer free sauga pickup on most items. so for gta people who order often its still kind of pointless. weird plan for how expensive it is.

That wasn't always the case, NE has the biggest selection of cases and for someone who enjoys building desktops as a hobby for all his friends and family (and their friends), I was shopping there on a weekly basis, if you check my history, I've got over 100 items in 2014/2015 and that went down to 5 items/2months since I've found alternatives like pick up in store at NCIX or free shipping when ever they have a promotion going on as you said. I'll be cancelling my membership this September

there all about the same in the quality of low prices you will find. lately Canada computers has stepped up on certain things, newegg would be second and ncix third.

newegg does have a wider selection though, I was able to find certain thinkpad stuff there much cheaper than elsewhere. local pickup is only 15 min drive so I don't mind it as much now that is an option.

    • NE Premier is worse than Amazon Canada Prime--in this case not only is there no streaming stuff, there's pretty much only computer parts to buy (instead of a wide variety of things) and you have to pay the $70 up front to get the free trial. And not valid on cases anymore? Lulz.
