Newegg.ca: Brother HL-2270DW Duplex Wireless Laser Printer $74.99 + $2.99 Shipping

Brother HL-2270DW Wireless Laser Printer $74.99
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

If you're looking for a reliable laser printer (we're looking at you students out there), Newegg.ca currently has a good deal. The Brother HL-2270DW Workgroup Up to 27 ppm Monochrome Wireless Laser Printer is on sale for $74.99 with $2.99 shipping.

This is a black and white printer prints at up to 27 pages per minute and has 2 very useful qualities -- built in wireless networking and duplex (two-sided) printing. The HL-2270DW has a solid track record, too -- there are 271 user reviews on Newegg and an average rating of 4/5. We/d say this printer is a good buy when it hits a sale price of $70-$80. • Bought this printer a year ago for $89.99 at staples. Solid Printer, fast, duplex option is awesome. Wireless setup can be a bit of a pain at times as it doesent seem to work on a N-router. Overall great deal.

Same...fast as hell for home office use and very pleased with it (and cheap toner refills are great). Great price especially if you buy through the 'e-bates.ca' newegg cashback.

    • So people talk about how the wifi/networking is 'difficult' on brother printers. Assuming you get it set up once, is it smooth sailing after that? I read one post where a guy said it loses the network settings every time you turn it off so you essentially ahve to leave it on 100% of the time.

Well it can be a pain to set up like I said. I believe I have narrowed it down to an issure wit N type singnal. If I have my router brodcasting as N Only it wont find it. I leave my printer on 24/7 as it has a standby mode inw hich it make zero noise. But from my experience shutting it off and turning it on again dosent effect the setup at all.

After the intial set up it is smooth sailng for me on my Mac

    • great printer, had it for a year.. works seamlessly with my wireless windows PC, MacBooks, and iPads. Never had a single issue of it not being able to print. I have a wireless G/N router.

    • Now that i realize how good a deal this is i'm annoyed that we need to retain our photocopying functionality. We use it way too often.

Looks like the Brother 7065DN is based on the same idea as this one. Uses the same toner cartridge. Just with the copy/scan functionality added and wireless removed. Looks perfect. Guess i'll spend the bit extra.

You can either PM online or at the store. If your near a store, I would recommend going to the store and picking up paper the Hammerhill 500 Sheet paper for $3.99.

Do anyone have the email to price match BB online?
You can call BB Customer Service and provide them with your order number and they can PM online.

Also the Brother Toner is cheaper at Newegg then at BB:

      http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...16828113562CVF - $35.99

      http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...a59ee388 3en02 - $54.99

If you PM the Newegg toner it comes out to be ~$38

Yea just print the page and present it. Shouldn't be any exceptions, just might get charged shipping depending on the CSR. They will most likely check themselves to make sure the item is still in stock and the print out is not fake.

Idk. I turned on my brother printer and magically it started working with all my windows devices. I didn't even have to install any drivers.

Hey, I never PM'd online at BB before, but did it for the first time this morning. I'm not sure if I went through standard procedure.

I got through to this guy who was clearly American by his accent. He took time to explain everything in meticulous detail. I think he did the first half of his math right. He said it was $76.18 after PM and enviro fees. Right after he said "so the total with every thing included is $96.sumthin". I told him that doesn't sound right, cuz tax is 13% and the total should be 86.08. He replied, "It will adjust," and "I gave you a great deal," in an all of a sudden impatient tone. I told him there's no point of me doing all this if it still comes out more than Newegg. He said something along the lines of "well I just put it through the system and that's what showed up, I don't manually calculate taxes. The system will adjust this price to match our local tax, and that I should keep my eye out in the first 12 hours for information on the order". I took his word for it. Almost 12 hours later, and I have only the POP on the regular price on BB.ca, but nothing to even prove that I spoke to this guy, let alone got the printer for $86.08. Is this normal procedure, or is something fishy going on here? How is it normally done for you guys?

Don't worry, it should be fine. Check your order status on BB's website. After the order is processed, you will be able to see the pdf receipt.

      The receipt should show:
      Order Total: $175.59
      Discount: -$79.21

If that's the case, then the PM is fine. $79.21 is the discount before tax, you will be charged the full amount, then they will refund you with $79.21 + tax = $89.51.
