  Look in the spec, it says the HSDPA supports 850/1900. The 3 versions out there by sales area:
  
  E71-1: APAC, supports 900/2100 and Asian languages
  E71-2: NAM, support 850/1900
  E71-3: Euro, supports 850/2100

- Great phone, had it for almost 4 months now, no regrets what so ever, one thing i do not like about this phone is that there is a little gap between where the keys are and the screen. If anybody remember the Mot Razr and the dust problem on the screen, same things happens to this unit, which i find quite annoying. But beside that.. i would say this is one of the slickest smartphone out there. Very good size (which can take bit of time to get used to), loaded with features and great battery life.

  I have an unlocked one that I use on Fido and have had no problems at all. Its an awesome phone, probably the best phone I have ever owned so far.

- Good phone. Excellent Battery Life and it doesn't lag like the old N73 etc... the processor has been upgraded.
  However, this is a bad camera phone! And the keys feel a bit small for me... Have been using it for over 5 months now.
  Nevertheless, the Garmin mobile GPS is superb I sold my tomtom cuz this one was just as good and eliminated 1 more device for me!
  
  However, I'm looking to maybe buy the Sony Ericsson G705 ~$400

  Enough that its embarrassing use. It has taken me up to 15 minutes to get a initial lock.

  Don't know why it takes so long for ur phone to lock on a signal. It takes me no more than 2 mins to get a signal, but you can't really be moving during that time or else it'll just take longer for the gps to lock on.
  
  I have mine setup as Integrated GPS, A-GPS is turned off. I use it all the time, and I've heard that the more you use the GPS the faster it'll be able to lock on to a signal... I've used it for trips to Oregon, Seattle, Whistler, and D/T Vancouver, haha (it's a maze)
  
  Also, if you live in an area w/ a lot of concrete buildings or highrises that may block the signal and take the phone a lot longer to get a signal.
  
  Edit: Go to Tools --> General --> Positioning --> Positioning methods
  Uncheck all of them EXCEPT Integrated GPS (see if that helps), cuz i think the network GPS, BT GPS, and A-GPS may do more harm than good??

  I just picked it up on Rogers for $49.99 on a 3 year data plan!!! Amazing phone at an unbelievable price. You may as well pick it up from Rogers as they require a 3 year contract anyways on their data plans. In other words, you will be on a contract regardless, may as well pick up an amazing phone at a STEAL of a price!

- A-GPS and network GPS is what helps the GPS receiver lock on in seconds.
  
  I believe network/A-GPS uses cell towers and wireless APs to locate you within ~700 meters.

- tempting, but i must resist and wait for BB Curve 8900!!! (sry but im kind of a fan of BB in terms of smartphones hehe ) AND E71 doesn't support BB messenger and stuff.. (although i did read online that some old nokia did support BB softwares but not this model)
