Mobilicity unveiled their new year's promotions this afternoon, and they are offering a series of free data add-ons on all of their unlimited talk and text plans. If you've been thinking of making the switch to their network, they are also currently offering a $50 My Wallet credit when you transfer your number to Mobilicity. Here's a breakdown of each rate plan offered in this promotion:

$25/month: Unlimited talk, text and caller ID + free social networking ($5 value)
$35/month: Unlimited provincial talk, text and caller ID + free social networking and email ($10 value)
$45/month: Unlimited North American talk, text, voice mail + free data ($10 value)

- new deals seem pretty weak. i have a feeling they wont be doing much business now, not unless they bring back the bts plan and 50% off promos. otherwise why would anyone sign with them? i don't know about the rest of canada but their service is absolutely horrible in vancouver.

- New deal seems very lame, then again the 50% OFF was only for 12 months and u still had to buy/provide a compatible phone.
  
  I hope they'll offer a similar deal like I got in being of Fall, free BB 9300 w/a prepaid annual fee of $469(~$39/month) + taxes.
  
  Which included Unlimited US/CND talk, Unlimited global text, Unlimited Data+BBM and all call features(CID/VM/3W/CF/CW)
  
  Considering @ the time the BB 9300 cost $299 to purchase, it's like $170(~$14/month) for the plan.
  
  Sell the phone in 6-8 months should get me $50-70, so its really a steal.

  Mobi networks SUCKS A$$, but WTF do I care for that price.

  If the phone works on their network, you should be able to use it. I would suggest double-checking in stores, though.

  No. You have to have a phone with AWS frrequency built in. More than likely you do not. I think AWS phones only came to Canada two years ago, and only with Wind.

  Instead of getting a full data add-on, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace (hah), Google+ and LinkedIn browsing would be included in your plan.

- I just bought a Galaxy Nexus and it works right off the box on 4g speeds, everything loads SUPER FAST, and here i was thinking it was slow cause it's Mobi...

  Mobilicity does not have a "4g" network. Just an icon on the phone.
  
  $25 BTS plan was the best thus far. These are not bad.

- Does anybody know any good deal on smart phones that can be used with Mobilicity? My Blackberry bold 9000 does not work with the SIM card. I got a Huawei phone from them but it is a pain to use for browsing.
