Mobilicity: All Unlimited Plans Now Just $30 (Limited Time)

Mobilicity: All Unlimited Plans Now Just $30
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Wireless plans aren't cheap so it's obviously always best to get the most out of your money. If your current contract is almost up or you're looking to switch wireless providers, Mobilicity has a really good promotion worth checking out. Right now, you can get any of their unlimited plans for just $30. This includes the popular Unlimited Everything plan which normally retails for $55 per month. Here's a look at the other plans you can get for $30:

Unlimited Plus - Regularly $35

  • Unlimited Light Data (Social Networking + Email or BBM + Email)
  • Unlimited Canada Wide Talk
  • Unlimited Global Text
  • 15 Minutes North American Voice Roaming
  • Voicemail, Caller ID and Call Features

Unlimited Value - Regularly $45

  • Unlimited Data
  • Unlimited North American Talk
  • Unlimited Global Text
  • 30 Minutes North American Voice Roaming
  • Voicemail, Caller ID and Call Features

Unlimited Everything - Regularly $55

  • Unlimited Data
  • Unlimited North American Talk
  • Unlimited Global Text
  • 60 Minutes North American Voice Roaming
  • Voicemail, Caller ID and Call Features

Normally, these types of promotions are typically only discounted for one year and require at least a two year term. Upon further inspection of the fine print, though, there doesn't seem to be that listed in the disclaimer so these plans should be for life.

Interested parties will definitely want to head to their nearest Mobilicity dealer before the promotion expires.

    • Is this one of those promos where the $30 price is only for the first year, and then it's normal price after that? I read through the promotion page and found nothing of the sort.

If the price doesn't revert back to normal after a period of time, why would anyone not just get the most expensive plan? Anyone else think this is kind of weird?

Yes, a bit weird Indeed. Anyone will choose the most expensive plan if the price does not change after a period of time when promotion is over like after 6 months or a year.

+1.. This should be interesting... their website does not say anything about duration of promotion..

I wouldn't mind dropping my phone bill another 7.50 / month.

    • I just wish these non-oligopoly companies would have better coverage. I would have switched over long long time ago. Unfortunately i'd be out of range most of the time, and i'm in Vaughan. :S

    • How's the reception of Mobilicity? Is it any good?

      I'm guessing it's similar to Wind's capabilities?

    • Guaranteed for 12 months. Just talked to them on the phone. I am thinking I might drop my BTS for this...

      Cannot combine with multi-month discount.

    • Is there a fee with Mobilicity to switch your plans? I know there was one with Wind.

The lady on the phone said changing from my 25$ back to school would not cost anything. Not sure if this is true in the future or for everyone.

    • I've never heard of Mobilcity before. It says they have coverage in Nova Scotia, but there are no stores. Could I still get a plan there?

      I'd get that in writing.

Is there any cost associated with changing plans?

An administrative fee may apply to some changes to plans (such as switching plans). If you are under the Monthly Fees program, your plan charges will be prorated in respect to your Payment Date. If you are under the Multi-Month Fees program, we will prorate your refund based on the remaining days left on your plan minus an administrative fee. You agree that the one month’s regular plan charge is a reasonable charge for us to recuperate any discounts, subsidies or other costs associated to your change under the Multi-Month Fees program. We may at our discretion limit your number of changes allowed to your plan within a short period of time

Changing your plan online is easy with My Account.

    • Most likely a $15 administrative charge if going from a more expensive plan to $30.

Slow data speeds (Max out at about 3.2MB/s down). The call quality is actually pretty good, less dropped calls and interference than on Wind Mobile. As always, it's best to test it out before committing to a lengthy MM/Tab/Contract, etc. Their telephone Customer Service is pretty good, in store not so much.

1 bar of signal on Wind = practically unusable service
1 bar of signal on Mobilicity = service is mostly still usable, can still make calls

All in all, I find Mobilicity to have less issues with delayed text messages and missed calls, but their data speeds are almost always slow, unless you're in the right area of town. Wind Mobile's data speeds are often 2-3x faster. I've tested Wind, Mobilicity and Public over the last 3 years in the GTA. They're all slowly getting better.

    • I've had Mobilicity in Toronto for a year now, and was on the $55 ($50% off at $27.50) until last week when they introduced the $45 plan with better features (again at 50% off) so I called in, said I saw a plan that better suited my needs, and 2 minutes later (WITH NO EXTRA FEES EITHER) I got it.

I now pay $22.50/month for Unlimited everything (including NA-wide long distance and 30 minutes roaming).

I've also used Mobi in Edmonton and have been overall very happy with the service, and ecstatic that

Every Month, I KNOW WHAT EXACTLY WHAT I WILL BE PAYING

Data is included. The plan is for 12 months, at which point it may be renewed by Mobilicity at their discretion.

    • They're all unlimited.

That's what I love. I don't need a billion gigabytes, but what I do need is piece of mind.

I don't want to worry about using my phone. I want the freedom to use it whenever I want for whatever I want.
