Lenovo: 10% Off the new ThinkPad T400s (SL9400, 2GB, 160GB HD, XP, 6-Cell $1781)
Lenovo has just put up the first discount so far on the recently released ThinkPad T400s. Specifically, you get 10% off this thinner and lighter version of the the T400 with coupon code CAPTHINLIGHT.
How much lighter? This 14" laptop with a WXGA+ (1440x900) display and a 6-cell battery weighs in just under 4lbs. The normal T400 on the other hand, starts closer to 5.5lbs. Here's the cheapest configuration option:
It's not a bargain laptop, that's for sure. But the reality is, if you want to buy hardware when it's brand new, or close to, you usually won't get huge discounts. This is a decent discount for early adopters. If you want to read some more about the T400s, you can check out NotebookReview.com's review. They list the pros as excellent build quality, good keyboard changes, nice polished design, eSATA and DisplayPort, and "very fast even with integrated graphics".
Upgrades of note include a 64GB solid state hard drive for $50 and Bluetooth for $29. Shipping is free.
