HP Incredible Labour Day Savings Event: Pavilion 15.6" Laptop w/i3-2350M, 6GB RAM, 640GB HD $380
This deal has expired!
HP Canada is getting into the Labour Day Savings as well with a couple of pretty good limited time offers. Until September 6, you can take advantage of a few promotions including the following:
- Pavilion 15.6" Laptop with HD LED Display, Intel Core i3-2350M, 6GB RAM, 640GB HD, Win 7 - $379.99
- HP 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse - $8.99
The laptop is a decent value buy at just under $380. You're getting a second-generation i3 processor, sizeable hard drive and good amount of RAM that should be enough for students and casual laptop users. It doesn't have a graphics card but it does come with Bluetooth connectivity, built-in HD webcam and a 6-cell battery. The notebook also weighs just over 5 pounds so commuters might find it suitable for travel too.
Both items ship free but are only on sale until September 6.

I *must* find a new system for my brother so I don't kill him through phone support!

And there are no reviews on Newegg (it was discontinued before even a single review?) or anywhere in the usual places I looked.

And I wouldn't recommend HP laptops, unless it's their higher end or business lines.
Their customer supports & services (or lack thereof) + products (IMO) were awful back then, perhaps they have improved? Honestly, I'm surprised they're the best selling PC company.
From my exp, Dell & Lenovo customer supports & services are not that great either but they're still >>> Hewlett Packard's.
In fact, I won't even recommend their printers unless it's super cheap. They used to be good. Back then, I prefer HP slightly over Canon over Epson. Now, it's Canon >> HP, not that Canon is that great. (Go read PCMag or PC something I forgot, HP rated the worst out of all 5 or 6 or 7 printer maker companies.) I hate this. Printers used to be so durable and simple to operate back then. Now, a decade later, they seem t io have regressed. More driver issues. More fragile. Back then, printers can run for many years without any repairs. Now, had too many printers crapped out in less than a yr or slightly over a year. (Don't they care about the environments? the children?) Things seem to have gone downhill since they started using chips in the cartridges/ink tanks. Sorry for the rants.
Can you just replace it with any English keyboard ?
- French only Win 7 operating system and software interface? (No English?)
- Or it also supports French besides English.
Thx
In the last three years I've purchased 3 new laptops. Two Asus and one Lenovo. The two Asus laptops have run great no problems what so ever. The Lenovo had issues the first week I had it. Lenovo replaced it in less than a week. Now thats customer service! Hey, HP take some notes here.
I can't recommend HP. Do your research before you buy.
Sure it's refurb, but having bought a refurb lenovo from FS in the past, I wouldn't think twice about grabbing another.
