Forum poster jm987 has alerted us to a hot deal at TheSource.ca. Right now, they have an In-Store Demo Toshiba 15.4" Laptop with a Core 2 Duo T5250 processor, 1280x800 display, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Intel A/G Wireless, DVDRW, Intel GM965 graphics, and Vista Home Premium for $399.96! It also comes with an integrated webcam.

It is an in-store demo product, but $399.96 is an excellent price for a Core 2 Duo laptop. Other highlights include Vista Home Premium (you would expect Basic at such a price point), and the fact that it comes with a full manufacturer's warranty. We don't expect this deal to last long!

  personal experience, the asus demo I got last year from thesource was actually like new.
  so I was going to get this one to see, but too bad.

- not that hot.....it's a slow C2D, big 15.4" form factor, non-dedicated graphics, plus it's a demo, meaning the screen brightness may not be that good anymore, and all the other pitfalls of a machine that could have been left turned on for a year.

  I don't think it had been posted before, after the OP posted it, it was still in stock when I checked, this is a new wave of markdown, most laptops have been marked down by $100 from yesterday when I checked.
