    • I guess it must be 50% off of manufacturer's suggested retail price. To give you an example, a brand new Canon 100HS was on special for $108 a while back, so for the difference of $19 I would rather buy new with the full warranty. I know this because I bought the 100HS although I returned it for the 300HS. Bottom line, you need to know how low a new camera could be sold for.

      Bought a Pany G2/14-42 for $299+tax. They had only four of them open boxes left. The camera was in great condition and had less than 250 actuation-count on it. The EVF and articulating screen are well worth it (as long as you don't have high expectation of the image quality at ISO 800 and higher)

      +1. ELPH100 is currently slling for $120 at staples. Add the $15 off $100 coupon and you are paying $105 + taxes. I would not buy a demo for $15 less.

      They throw in 3 year extended warranty for free... and as openbox they still get full factory warranty. Picked up an NEX-C3 for 459 last weekend... hell of a deal seeing as most places online still have it for 600ish
