If you're decided it's time for a bigger TV, there's a good deal at the moment at Future Shop and Best Buy. They both have the Insignia 50" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (NS-50L260A13) for $499.99. The price is valid both in-store and online. This is a newer model, so there isn't that much in the way of reviews yet. BestBuy.com (US) lists 4 customer reviews and an average rating of 4/5.

If you're ordering online, it's a $50 fee for delivery, so shopping in store can save you some cash if you have the means to get a 50" TV home! The price is vaid through November 22. Some of you may be holding out for Black Friday deals, but even so, at $499.99, this is a pretty aggressive price on a 50" 120Hz HDTV.

    • I bought the 60Hz 50" Insignia to be used as a htpc monitor a few months back for the same price. Am thouroughly impressed overall. It replaced a Samsung 40" LCD & am super happy with the upgrade. This deal is definitely worth a look!

    • I purchased one yesteday. It was open box so Best Buy gave me $20 rebate.
      Since I have only basic cable the usable screen was only two third of the available space. After two hours of use the tv went dead. Now i have to bring it back to the store and it's raining (I am in Vancouver) since there is no insite free replacement.
