Dell Friends and Family Event: 24" Full HD Monitor w/LED $161.49, Logitech Z506 5.1 Speakers $61.74

Dell Friends and Family Event
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Dell is back again with a Friends and Family Event where you'll be able to save on a variety of products including monitors, desktops, laptops and more. What's even better is that they've teamed up with RedFlagDeals.com to bring you an exclusive 5% off coupon making the deals just a bit easier on the wallet. To get in on the savings, you'll need to enter the coupon code 2K9CLS4FFC8MVH at the checkout but there are limited uses available. Here's a look at some of the items on sale:

Though there are plenty of decent deals available, the one that stood out for us was the XPS 8300 with Intel Core i5-2320, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB HD, ATI Radeon HD 6450 and UltraSharp U2312HM for $759.99. The UltraSharp on its own is about $200, give or take, which leaves us with a tower supposedly worth $560. The XPS 8300 features a second-generation i5 processor, average amount of RAM, large hard drive and 1GB graphics card good for casual to medium gaming. For that price, we think its a decent value given that most people don't want to go through the hassle of building a tower from scratch and because it also comes with 1 year of basic support. If you're looking to replace your desktop at home, this would be a pretty solid buy.

All items ship free.

    • How good of a deal is the Ultrasharp, I missed the 250 sale, 285 is tempting, but should i wait?

    • So Dell's normal "good" sale price for the U3011 is $999, but conveniently, it's $1049 this time with a 5% coupon...

Similar deal with other offers (U2412 has been $265 with coupons before, instead of $285)

Nice try Dell. Bring your A game next time!

    • When was the last time the U3011 went on sale for $999? I don't plan to buy my new system until June, so do you think the U3011 will go on sale again by then?

    • Wouldn't be a Dell sale without a surge protector now would it?

Not bad prices with the 5% coupon...Def not "buy now, think later" prices, but decent if you're in the market for any of the items.

    • Does anyone know if you can buy from Dell Canada and ship to the US? Or if it would even be worth it? The U3011 is $1049 on the Canada site, and $1299 on the US. Obviously there is the exchange rate, but does anyone know if it would be worth it after tax and duties? Or if the warranty would still be valid?

      Thanks for you help!
