    • seagate drive has terrible reviews on dell site
It's at 4.2/5 out of over 1000 reviews... The newest ones are bad, that's all.

That being said, it's at $130 at many other places (amazon.ca for instance).

    • I've been rocking the DNS-320 with FFP (Fonz_FunPlug) installed for over a year. It's been running excellent with 2x3TB drives.

I've been rocking the DNS-320 with stock firmware installed for just under a year. It's been running great with 1x2TB drive up until this summer where I upgraded to 2TB+3TB and has been running great ever since. (Firmware just recently got updated to address some bugs that some users had prior, but all basic functionality works great now.)

My laptop only has a 120GB hard drive so I use the network drive essentially as my hard drive. Would definitely recommend this product.

Hows read/write speed? Ive read online reviews saying 12/20 or so...heard ui is bad too? Id be using it for backups and media streaming and torrents. Either this or a cheap win server setup wireless/gigabit ethernet.

I'm on Firmware 2.01. I'm not sure what firmware the D-Link product page is speaking to.
This ShareCenter storage device has a storage capacity of up to 4TB (greater capacities supported with future firmware release)
      Here is what I'm running:

      *** EDIT ***
Looks like v2.01 introduced 3TB support but removed when v2.02 fixed some 3TB support bugs.

    • I've been waiting for the DNS-325 to come down in price, missed a couple of ~$110 sales this year.. how much better would the 325 be compared to the 320? is it worth the $$/upgrade?

I've had the DNS-320 for over a year and it was working fine until I upgraded to the latest firmware last month. Now I get data corruption issues.
I also noticed that the gigabit port doesn't work with the trendnet green switches. Discovering this was what led me to try the firmware upgrade in the first place. In the end, I had to plug the DNS-320 back into my 10/100 router instead.

But of course, now I can't rollback the firmware to the version that worked without issue.

I'm soured on the DNS-320 now and it doesn't get used. It was a great idea, but not something I trust with any data I actually want access to again.

I don't own any of them but i am in the same boat as u .. all I know is 325 is 1.2 GHz CPU with 256 MB RAM hence the performance will be always better come to 320 ( 800 Mhz and 128 MB RAM) ..

That coupon is not applicable to promotional prices I think. I have tried and it doesn't work for me.
