It's been months since I last made a purchase from the Hot Deals forum, NCIX and Dell has been massively disappointing. But I suppose its a good thing
I've been looking for it to show up on RFD for some time.
Even with the lowest brightness my screen is still bright. This would help a lot.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
edit: Pulled the trigger on two, now to see if work will cover it, and if I can get that second monitor, hehehe.
What about the Vostro 3555 Quad core for $479? seems like a hot deal for a basic user with no gaming.
seems no USB 3.0
I'm just a pretty basic user who wants to use this for internet, productivity, playing some video, including streaming to a TV, and basic photo/video editing. I don't play any games. Portability is of secondary concern as it'll primarily just be moved around the house and rarely out of the house.
I've been considering the Lenovo $799 i-7 deal, but thinking that may be overkill. At the same time, I HATE choppy video (who doesn't). I'm upgrading from a netbook, which i have somehow been tolerating for the past 2.5 years, so anything will be an improvement, but if i'm going to be disappointed with a $500 laptop (due to inferior processor / vid card), I'd prefer to go with an $800 one. But if i really dont need it, $300 in savings can go towards something else.
I've been out of the loop on PCs for quite some time now, so i have no idea what the new processors are like nor their associated video cards (i.e what is equipped to handle what...)
Any thoughts?

"Thanks OP!"
For reference, I got a Brother 7065DN for $85 @ Staples (with $15 coupon) at the end of last year, which is a more capable printer. You should be looking at around the $100 mark for something with duplexing (and scanning/copying if you want it).
