    • whats better 1390 LMT or 1490 LMT

just for 10 dollars more u can get a 1490 LMT from costco

      http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product....rodid=10342585

      looking to buy a GPS

It all depends on your needs. 1390 vs. 1490 comparison notes the 1490 screen size is bigger and has routing, though it weighs more and battery life isn't as good. I guess it all depends on how much you value that $10.

FYI, this discussion has already been posted here.

    • The 1350 LMT is $99.97 for a refurb at TigerDirect. I bought a refurb Garmin GPS on sale a few months ago, and it was pristine. Looked absolutely brand new.

    • This one is 2460 MLT is $169 (although no lifetime maps).

      what is the major difference?

      http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product....e=BCCA&topnav=
1460 LMT has lifetime maps. Even the title on Costco's website states that: "Garmin® nüvi® 2460LMT GPS with Lifetime Maps*".
BTW, these are the suffixes Garmin uses: LM=Lifetime Maps and T/LT=Traffic

    • A major advantage to the 2460 is that the mount is 'quick disconnect' - it has contacts that connect the navigator to the base. The 1000 series requires that you unplug the mini-USB connector separately after removing the unit from it's mount.

It is a major convenience when parking the vehicle if you don't want to leave the device in plain sight.

    • However it is more than just about the mount - model selection is determined by the feature set. Garmin has a tool on their web site that allows you to choose the features you want and displays the various models that meet your criteria:

    • There is also 2360LMT for 179.99, same features as 2460, smaller screen. Not as good deal as the 2460LMT on sale week ago, but decent price for the unit. Amazon.ca has it for $1 less.
How often do these go on sale at Costco?
I've cracked my old Garmin last week, and so missed out on 2460
Lifetime maps means up to 4 map updates per year, as long as you own the unit.
