    • Looks pretty cold to me. The economy is the only thing to blame here.
Thank god I sold my razer banshee headset a while ago, seems like once I sold them the value started to plummet

I'm kind of pissed off but oh well. I just bought that EVGA GTX 560 TI (01G-P3-1561-AR) on April 9th at Canada Computers in-store. The Tigerdirect nearest me didn't have the 560 TI in stock but the other stores in neighbouring cities did at 204.99 (after rebates). I asked the CC nearest me to PM Tigerdirect and the best the guy would do is $217 (after rebates). I bought it at that price anyway, since I didn't want to bother with shipping from Tigerdirect.ca or driving to another Tigerdirect slightly further away. I debated with him about the price match but he told me he couldn't match TD's price because it was too good and that $217 was the best price he could offer me. 10 days later they have it on for $209.99... still not as good as TD but I don't understand why he couldn't give it to me for less than $217 when I tried PMing.

Last week they had the EVGA GTX 560 TI (01G-P3-1561-KR) on for 189.99... I noticed that also after I made my purchase. The KR version has a 3 year warranty while the AR version has a lifetime warranty and the ability to participate in the EVGA step up program. I'm not sure if the difference in price I paid between AR and KR was worth it cause I don't know if I'll have a new card in 3 years or even bother with the Step up program. I didn't know about the difference in KR/AR or that they even existed when I initially made my purchase.Oh well, I'm happy with the card at least.

Not to mention the relatively low mark-up for computer electronics nowadays.

No - I understand that but at the time of purchase it was 204.99 at TD. I don't expect to be compensated for price reductions in the future. I just don't understand why CC gave me such a hard time PMing it only to drop it to a comparable price a few days later.

CC PMing policy is flaky at best: http://www.canadacomputers.com/PriceMatch_Policy.php

though I like CC better than TD in general... Can't really put my finger on it, I just do.

They just make up what they want because they know then can. They no matter what say it is below their cost so they can't match. That is total BS but people will still buy it at whatever they make up their cost to be.
