Amazon.ca: Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Keyboard w/Cherry MX Blue Switches $59.99 + Free Ship
This deal has expired!
Mechanical keyboards are growing in popularity these days, but typical prices of $80 and up can still be prohibitive for first time buyers. For the price sensitive, Amazon.ca has a popular mechanical keyboard on sale right now -- the Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is $59.99 with free shipping. That's about as low a price for a mechanical keyboard as you're going to get.
The Razer BlackWidow Mechanical keyboard uses Cherry MX Blue switches which provide a lot of tactile feedback and an audible click when pressed. As this is keyboard designed for gamers, it has 5 programmable macro keys on the left. The keyboard has a rating of 4.5/5 stars with 6 reviews on Amazon.ca, and a rating of 4/5 stars with 290 reviews on Amazon.com.
Amazon's prices can jump around without notice, so don't sit on the sidelines for too long if you're looking for low cost mechanical keyboard

is this the same one?
EDIT: it's not.
I really do dislike the shiny finish though, it looks dirty after one day's use, especially where my wirsts touches it.
Having said that I much prefer my Quickfire Pro, which costs $19 more than this
I bought a deathadder 3500 off some random guy on craigslist, the top layer peeled off, so I sent an email, and they sent me one within 2 weeks (2 years warranty for mice). AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A RECEIPT YOU'RE FINE!
I have the blackwidow and it's gets really dirty (the glossy black kills it), otherwise it's a pretty sick keyboard. Would I buy it again? If it was $50, then yes, otherwise I'd rather spend more on a matte keyboard that doesnt show dust/oil/grime so easily.

Prcematch for $55.99.
Infonec used to have it for $49.99 and I price matched it at $44.99, but then got rid of it because i really didn't like it. invested more and got a much better mechanical keyboard and haven't looked back.
it's stillll great for a beginner mechanical keyboard for ~$55 after PM with BB.
Also I had to remove the M1 to M5 customizable keys since I kept hitting the M1 key instead of the CTRL key. I wasn't patient enough to get use to it.
For this price range get coolermaster keyboard
For a keyboard that will last a long time invest a filco
I'm going through the RMA process now and I'm starting to get annoyed with them.
WHich is sad because I would have nabbed this deal for a work computer as the one I'm typing on now is on it's last legs.
