Here's a pretty hot video game deal courtesy of Amazon.ca. Right now, you can pick up the MAG and PS3 Bluetooth Headset bundle for $18.62. You're looking to spend around $30 for this on average so, if you're interested in the game and want the accompanying headset, this is a good price to buy at.

No it's not Modern Warfare or Battlefield, but MAG got some pretty decent scores despite being released in 2010.

I think I paid around 35-40 for the bundle I can't remember, but the headset is absolutely the most uncomfortable headset I have ever used. It pinches your ear and is quite bulky/heavy. I couldn't bare using it for more than a minute, it's that irritating. The sound quality wasn't even as good as my old jabra either. For those looking for an inexpensive ps3 BT headset it may be best to stay clear of this model.

      This is Sony's older model PS3 Bluetooth Headset (BTHS), and I can confirm it's quite uncomfortable. They came out with a newer model shown here:

      I can't comment on whether or not they improved in terms of sound/mic quality, as well as comfort. It does look better though.

      MAG is an amazing FPS game. If you are into COD, this is a must-have game. I personally love it more than COD.

      I hate FPS, the only one I was remotely good at was BF3 and thats because I used to just drive vehicles or be a medic. I am terrible so its an expendible game. In regards to the BT headset, I have one already, its not the best but I can tolerate it for short stints

      Yup... and the headset is terrible.. will make your ear hurt in no time. It's heavy and uncomfortable. You are better off just getting a cheap headset somewhere else that is not by sony.

    • I got the same bluetooth headset with the Socom bundle (I believe it was $20 at Blockbuster) hoping to replace my Jabra headset from the Warhawk bundle. Boy was that a huge mistake. The Jabra is a LOT lighter and more comfortable, although it does look cheaper and probably has worse audio quality, but it just doesn't matter how good the audio quality is if you can't keep the thing on your ear because it hurts too much.

      I ended up getting a pair of TurtleBeach PX21s on sale, and those are really comfortable, although pretty expensive compared to this deal. Just don't buy this bundle just for the headset.

    • This headset has particularly bad reviews so not worth it if you're going for the headset alone.
      The game isn't dead though, still plenty of people playing the smaller game modes, just don't expect to ever find a domination game mode running (the 64 player mode). But it's not worth $20 either.

    • Well I had this headset for quite sometime and I believe it's not the most comfortable headset but it's not that bad too. I had for more than a year and I loved how easy it is to connect to the ps3 and know the charge level on screen and all. Not bad for a low cost headset, the game you can use it for BB trade multi to get 10-20$ bonus credit.

      I have logged over 200 hours playing MAG. The epic scale of some of the battles has no comparison in the FPS world. COD is fun, but MAG has a whole other vibe to it. I was sad to hear that Zipper Interactive got shuttered and there won't be a MAG2...biggest disappointment this generation...

    • I have had this headset for a few years, and yes, its very uncomfortable. However, the sound quality is quite good, and it works VERY well with the PS3. Shows the charge, connection, mute status etc.

      As for MAG, I have since a few months after launch. Just started playing again this week, no problem getting into matches 64 player matches. Haven't tried to get into any 256 player matches, but there were quite a few people playing that too.

      Also, the game is quite good, if hard, and some of the DLC is free now.

      Hopefully, other companies would be interested in picking that up. I got MAG when it was $10 and boy, I had spent countless hours on it and it was quite addictive. After that, when Black Ops came out, I bought it based on the popularity of it. Man, I was shocked at the slow responsiveness and lag with only 8-16 people online. Traded that asap. Lol.
