View allNevertheless they were delivered and I didn't take the delivery. I immediately emailed and received a return call from Tiger Direct. I was assured a credit was going to be issued. After many attempts over several months I have not received any credit. I guess because they have left Canada they don't give a damn.

sales staff generally suck (a few are cool at brampton) but the tech guys are better than average with ok pricing, and the cashiers are always friendly and willing to pricematch. i assume sales are heavily on commission thus get pushy with warranties ect.
the store stock / online stock is very accurate, i appreciate that when attempting to pick up deals locally. they carry a good selection of parts in store too.
I noticed Canada Computers is opening up new locations. Went to the new store in Milton. They must be up to around 30 to 40 stores.
The rest of the store was decimated. There were a handful of tvs, printers and other monitors, but the biggest draw to people seemed to be the collection of assorted tangled wires for a couple of bucks. I expected very little, but still walked away disappointed.
Very little stuff left. Gtx 780 300-330, gtx 760 180, gtx 660 130, 270x 140, 2 left. 5 TV, 5 monitors, 3 high-end tablets like hp elite pad and Lenovo think pad, high end mb, some laptop bags, 4 laptop left, 3 of cases.
That's about it that I remember.
cheapest is $339 atm new.
London has 2 960gb m500s for like 295
I need display port cables to try out on my monitor for once.
For monitors, it is now 30% further discount from the lowest marked price.
Had I waited till today, I would have saved another $18 for the AOC monitor I bought yesterday.
I went there for a DVI to HDMI cable, as my computer only outputs DVI and the AOC monitor I bought yesterday has two HDMI input ports.
All cables are 90% off. There was no such short cable in the store. But found an Ultra brand 700HI 50-feet DVI-HDMI cable which I paid $5.60, 90% discount from original price of $56.00
Saw a guy who bought a couple of CPU processors in sealed new boxes (did not bother to see what model) which the CSR was amazed at the ridiculous low prices (after 80% discount) for the CPUs. He was showing the prices to his colleagues saying what bargains these were.
BTW, the technician tested the monitor for me to check if there was any dead pixel (none was found). He also dismantled the base stand for me as I was planning to mount the monitor on the VESA stand at home. Good customer service.
It's a TN panel not the latest IPS one.
But a decent deal, I think.
It comes with the original retail box and manufacturer's 3-year parts and labor warranty.
Free shipping during the first 3 months to send it back to a service centre if warranty service is required.
