Staples

Staples: Brother HL-3045CN Digital Colour Laser Printer $49.97 (Hot!)

Staples: Brother Digital Colour Laser Printer $50
This deal has expired! This deal has expired!

Here's a pretty hot deal on a colour laser printer as pointed out by forum member manyh. Right now, while quantities last, you can pick up the Brother HL-3045CN Digital Colour Printer on sale at Staples for $49.97. This is a really good deal considering colour laser printers aren't typically $50 so now would be a good time to pick one up if you're interested. Being a clearance item, quantities are likely extremely limited so you'll want to get your order in now to avoid missing out. Some of its features include:

  • Up to 19 ppm in black and colour
  • Colour output at up to 600x2400 dpi
  • First page out in as little as 15 seconds
  • 250-sheet paper tray
  • Network-ready, with Ethernet interface and easy network setup
  • Top-loading supplies for quick and easy replacement

If you need a new laser printer for the home or small office, this would definitely work well if you don't need the capabilities of an all-in-one machine.

The deal is live now and shipping is free!

    • A very nice find, I use the scanner/copier in my multi-function Brother a lot, plus don't really need colour prints (especially buying colour cartriges later), otherwise I would have considered this one.

    • I can see all the non wireless going up sooner than later. It's the trend to go wireless these days. Good find though...

    • Ordered, but expecting OOS, lol.
The EHF is a bit tough to swallow on a $50 item, though.

Generally, I agree, my house though is fully wired for ethernet, in every room in the house there are 2 ethernet outlets in the wall.

So wireless has somewhat limited attractiveness to me.

Plus, all things equals, it's less stable and more prone to glitches etc. (connect/disconnect etc.), as opposed to good old "plug it and forget it" ethernet (RJ45).

Same here... When I clicked on the item a few times, say page not found or item unavailable. But order went through after a few times

    • Are you sure this is laser printer? I don't see it saying laser, only mentioning it as LED. Even one of the review say this:

"Was listed as Laser, but it is not. It is LED.
Colour is very disappointing and drab.
      Non-illumimated display hard to read.
Unexpectedly LARGE in size, especially front to back. Had to reconfigure stand to accomodate it."

If it was laser, I will be all over this.

    • I have this. Got it for $85.
It is LED and photos do not come out that well. Don't use it for that. There is some banding with solid colours.

Printing speed is good. Warm up time is short.
Printing small colour graphics comes out nice.

    • Friend of mine has had this for a few years now - no issues - start up toner just replaced.

Had a $25 off $75 coupon, so I added some paper to use the coupon.

      Ordered - thanks
      Hopefully comes through

Your absolutely right, you shouldn't buy this printer... as I skulk off to buy two more.

    • OOS - however does it have ADF (auto docu feed)? For me that's a must - in case they get more stock

"So which should you choose? When comparing two models that are similar in quality, speed, and other aspects, the greater durability of LED models does give them an edge. However, either technology will provide great results, and differences in rated speed, quality, and other aspects will have more of an impact on a user’s overall experience than the technology under the hood."
