If you haven't jumped on the ssd bandwagon yet, do it! You can get some great deals on the 250 gig drives. Plenty of room for the os and a few steam games.
Skyrim loads so fast i don't have time to read the text on the loading screens. Can't say the same for console versions =p
For most purposes I'd take a HDD any day of the week. There's a few select cases that I'll stick in an SSD but they're not very common for me.

Yeah I suppose if you have a slow internet plan, or caps, you don't want to keep downloading stuff but even when I was in the cap boat I would just offload stuff I wasn't actively playing to a cheap HDD and move it back to the SSDs when it actually stood a chance of getting played for a while.
Will hold off until I decide to rebuild though.
