There was a 20ish rebate on it which made the kit about 50$ flat. Looks like the price is back to regular, though.
June 25th, only a $25 kit available at a special price.

Amazon.ca has the AAA eneloop 8 pack for $17.99. 3 left.
Never enough batteries with kids.
Does anyone know if you can by C and D spacers separately? The only option from Dell is the $35 where you only get 2 of each - and not having much luck finding them anywhere else. I'd love about 8 of each.
EDIT: Just saw the post a few above mine so I guess I can just order the batteries. Now I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the 8 pack or just go out and buy a 2 pack.
See reasonable-sized photo below.

I haven't compared specs but if you want to do more at once, here's an 8-port intelligent charger and tester for $65ish that I've been using for years and it's been flawless:

I haven't compared it recently to other options but it's been a great charger, and I see it's available from an Amazon seller for $60 + $5.50 shipping anyway:

If you don't need anything fancy, any of the older Sanyo or Eneloop branded chargers are good. DON'T use any of the Duracell/Energizer/etc branded 30 minute/1 hour fast chargers, you will kill your batteries in a few months. The fast/quick charging ports on Sanyo/Eneloop chargers top out at 1A (0.5C)=2 hours is the safest fast charge recommended for Eneloops. The MAHA C-9000 is a great choice, I have 2 because I needed more than 4 ports and they have served me well for years.
I would not trust the shoddy engineering of any of the La Crosse or that Nitecore charger. When you design and make a charger that can melt itself (La Cross BC-900), and then make a slight tweak and re-brand it (BC-9009) and it can still melt itself, you're doing it wrong. The Nitecore charger had some teething pains with version 1 and even version 2 still has some issues. IMHO, either stick with Sanyo/Eneloop chargers if you're cheap or go all out and get the MAHA C-9000, don't half- ***** it in the middle, it's not worth having a potential fire hazard in your home.
Seems to be a good charger, and comes with 8 batteries.
Don't own it.
Thanks!

But yes I'm pretty sure all sanyo chargers that you get from Dell currently charge in pairs (overnight charger, 6-7 hour charge).
If hoarding eneloops, get a pack of the high capacity. Throw it in a camera or something that you know in advance you'll want to last a bit longer and don't have access to extra batteries (wedding, short trip etc).

I still do use the Maha MH-C9000 charger though, which is running great.
I never used the eneloop charger (nor do I have one) because I don't need another charger than that good MH-C9000. (Just looked at the current pricing for it, wow, I remember paying about 100$ at the time and now it's half the price WITH 4 maha batteries... ho well!)
